Does the ASpec Body Kit Actually Improve Handling / Performance?

Hey Guys

so after I finally got my ASPEC Body Kit put on, NO SPRINGS, just the body kit, obviously the car looks "more aerodynamic" but I don't feel any difference in handling...although everyone I speak to says, "oh you have a body kit now, your car should handle a bit better/you should feel a slight difference"....

I did it purely for looks and that's all I expected...

can you guys confirm/deny this?

99.9% of us buy it for looks. however, if you go on the track and drive fast enough, it does help with the down force. get the aspec suspension.

its more for looks than aerodynamics, it should only help when going maybe 130+, but maybe, it could hinder performance due to added weight, but its just a thought.

Three years ago, when Acura was actively marketing A-Spec for the 3G TL, it was advertised as reducing the coefficient of drag somewhat. In theory, therefore, it does help performance and gas mileage, at least minimally.

if you want performance, you need the A-Spec suspension & changing the rear sway bar.

in theory, it does.

in actuality, it doesn't. to feel any effect, you will need to be going very very fast.

a rear spoiler will not have useable downforce unless you are going close to 180mph. at that point, it is helpful.

Does the A-Spec suspension lower the car?

actually, I heard, that if you put a sticker on each skirt, only ONE, of the vinyl type, it will cause the inertia of the air which registers a density of less than .8, to hyper ventilate causing a more fluid response while turning the car at an embankment of 16 degrees or more on concrete roads while temperatures of the air are above 82 degrees farenheit with a dewpoint wet bulb reading of -0.5

you should just hand over your keys if you think a body kit going to make a difference in how the car handles.

Like aw1 said, yes. .5 of an inch so, that the ride is not that harsh. If done by a dealer, its warranty. There are other suspension setups, ie. KW V Series coilcovers.
Its the rear sway that makes a big difference in cornering. Much less body roll.
