Hey all,
Today my gf decided to open the door into the side view mirror of a truck, which caused a huge dent in my B Pillar. Does anyone know if this is fixable? or where I can get the part to replace it? Can paintless dent removal fix b pillars?

gosh darn it. You guys make me go out at 1:30 am to take a picture. Dent is in the very center of the B pillar and is scratched as well. Sorry car is dirty from my trip from Iowa to Chicago.


Does anyone have a scan or something of the b pillar removal from the acura service manual? I looked all over google and there seems to be only 2nd gen service manauals with the 2nd gen b pillar mod. That doesn't work for our 3rd gen (no screw like 2nd gen b pillar). Also would it be better to just take it to the dealer and have it replaced?

#2. I know they have chrome covers for that on ebay, but imho i dont like them.

hey I resent the comment about not liking the chrome pillars, mine came like that off the show room floor... but yup the carbon fiber cover is a fix, hope you like carbon fiber

 

Well came back from the dealer and placed an order for the B pillar. They cost $38 and are held in by one screw (different location than 2nd gen TL's) and snap off. They dont think it comes painted though, but are unsure because there is no description in the computer.

Can someone scan how to remove the B pillar from the Acura Service Manual please?

 

Here's the parts list for the TL 5AT. Items 3, 6, 9 and/or 12.

Description says "Black". I am going to guess (assume?) that they will be "ready to install".

They are all black - but wrapped in gloss black plastic .......like parts numbered 4 and 10...... those are chrome underneath - someone here peeled off the black plastic wrap and revealed chrome!

It will arrive ready to install.......

 

Steve you are right. I received it today and although the parts manager said it comes unpainted, it is infact black and ready to install =).

So does anyone have a scan of how to remove the b pillar? I gotta wait till friday cause i'm getting my rattling fixed, so hopefully by then someone can help out a fellow forum member

Hey spike........ best I can do here buddy.......crappy camera phone - looks like there are 3 screws hidden behind the rubber window moulding - once you pull that back it should expose them.........

There is also a clip up top where the arrows are pointing

Thanks it does help a lot. I was going to take off the insulation on the other side, but I guess that is not needed. You saved me so much time already.
