My guess is you are trying to fix a rattle? If so, click below. If not, I wouldn't recommend taking out the airbags yourself, especially if you haven't done it before.

https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...ghlight=airbag

In the future, try using the advanced search function, and search for 'thread titles'. Odds are someone has had the same issue that you are looking for. Unless, of course, they name the thread something like "the search button sucks!"

I had some problems using the search buttons to as well. I was trying to find some DIY but it brought up a lot of links but then I would have to read the post from the links just to find links for the DIY.

Send me your email and I can send you the complete tech removal of the air bag with pictures. Although I still wouldn't recommend you doing this alone.

The search is working fine for me (now). IB and admin is still working on it sp bear with us.

Still, it's amazing all the info one can find in the 3G Garage:

https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-2004-2008-93/air-bag-removal-replacement-scans-related-scans-3g-garage-f-013-a-612761/

Use google to search the site and use quotes.

I thought i was the only one who thought that the search worked better before the problems. it works now, but lots of the results are no where close than what it used to be.

I've found that google indexes Azine. If you search google for what you want and then add site:acurazine.com at the end (or beginning) of your search, it will return results only from Azine.

my only issue with the search function is that you cant search 2 or 3 letter words like DIY (i know there is the DIY garage) or AEM, P2R and other common abbreviations.

For example I was searching for a DIY on installing the IM manifold gasket and got 10 pages of crap and i even used the search thread topic as well.

seriously, just google everything.

for example, i was looking for aznbo187s thread about his upcoming roof spoiler and looked for it by googling "acurazine aznbo187 atpl has been under the knife" cause thats what i remembered the thread title was called. it works. do it.

So what sense does that make to open up another tab or window everything you wanna search for something??

I agree google is the best engine but im sure people prefer to search "IN HOUSE"

Actually you can. Try inputting an asterisk when you search for words that have less letters than what the search feature will allow. For example...

AEM*

or

P2R*

believe it or not...it works.

And yes, that is how you spell asterisk.

Dude airbag removal is somthing a certified shop should do. To be honest I dont think we should have a thread on DIY's on "airbag removal" in the first place. So stop searching! Even though we do have some very smart/informative members here on AZine. You gotta leave some stuff up to the pro'z. Ill bet if you search stuff like roof spoiler, pulley, ATLP, pre cats you will get what your looking for. AZine is not a dictionary for any and all problems.

re: Search problems.

First, when searching for multiple terms, they need to put inside quotation marks or the results will suck.

Also, limiting your search to a specific forum or subforum will also greatly improve the returned results.

Lastly, we have added a relevancy option in the 'Sort results by' drop down, selecting it should be the last thing users need to do to ensure they get the best results possible.
