Do You Smoke In Your TL ?
not only do i not smoke. any smoker friends would be slapped for trying to light up in my TL as soon as i get it.
i think i need to install sideways ejector seats for any violations of the no smoking law in my car.

hate people that smoke,
an ex-friend refused to not smoke in my new car, and I had to drop him off at the next corner... I don't care. You can poison yourself but not me!
people think they are smart, but as soon as they light-up it all goes away.
plus smoke gets into the A/C vents really bad, it's close to impossible to get rid off that ugly smell.

I smoke, but only during pre and post flight.
Oh, for all you do gooders - take a hike. Like you don't have any other negative behaviors. Espcecially in CA where everyone bags on smokers, but where would the state (liberal dems) be without the general slush funds otherwise known as cigarette tax. Yeah, they would surely love for all Californians to stop smoking except they can't afford to have that happen.

You have a good point, casooner90. It is funny how governments take advantage of legal drugs like tobacco/nicotine. Here in Cleveland, a "sin tax" on cigarettes and booze built Jacobs Field (Indians) and Gund Arena (Cavaliers).
The only issue I have with smokers is that I don't want the secondhand smoke. It IS dangerous.

So all of these non-smokers, and I am one too. My problem is I bought a smokers TL - now trying to get rid of the smell - - Shampoo carpets, cleaned the seats, now I am using Downey fablic - it is suppose to take out the smell.
Any help for a new TL owner?

Smoke cigars...not w/in 10 yards of the TL tough.
Wife smokes (trying to get her to quit), but I don't allow her to smoke in the TL nor can she drive it until she stops (I know if she's driving the urge will hit her, and I'm not taking that chance).

I don't smoke. I don't allow ppl to smoke in my car. I think the smell of smoke permeates all the materials in my car. If they smoke otherwise though, it's their decision. I can only tell them not to smoke by me or my kids (if I had any).
No smoking in my TL for sure. Nor my house, or anything else I own. Before the "self-righteous non-smokers" bashers kick in again, take it from me - my father lost 1/3 of his right lung and has gone through 2 rounds of chemo for his lung cancer. All a result of 41 years of smoking. And for the record - smoking affects more than just the smoker - it affects your loved ones who have to deal with the cancer too, both mentally and financially. Ask my mother.
There. Down off the soapbox now. Don't even get me started on smokers who get cancer and try to sue the tobacco companies.

It's just like people who have pets, especially cats. You think it doesn't smell, then you have some guests over.. "oh you have cats?".. Doh.
HELL NO, I don't smoke in my car. No one else smokes in my car or my house either.
You can smoke if you want . It's your choice. But, it's a pretty stupid choice to make. If you can't see that, then I guess there's a good chance you'll get what you have coming to you....cancer.
BTW - There are not many things more rude than smoking in restaurants. It completely ruins the non-smoker's meal. Smoking should and will eventually be banned in most public places. I look forward to it.

To dcarlinf1;
The last place you'd want to live in would be a state or country that banned smoking "in public places". It may be smoking today but what's it gonna be tomorrow? I deem my freedom far too precious to allow the government to dictate to me what I can and cannot do with my property or my life. Seems we had a revolution over issues like that a little over 200 years ago. Recently, a mayor in a township in neighboring Maryland called Friendship Heights tried to push through a law making it illegal to smoke anywhere within the town limits except within you own curtilage. And during the Clinton administration, Carol Browner, head of EPA, proposed outlawing smoking in your home if there were children living there. Can you imagine the audacity of these idiots?? Let's see.. "we don't like the fact you eat too much meat or use too much salt or drink too muck beer, so we're gonna pass a law too... When we get to this point in our history, perhaps it's time to stop talking and start locking and loading again.
Incidently, a restaurant is usually a private place.. not public. The owner should have any and all rights to do as he sees fit with his business. We, on the other hand, also reserve the right to patronize his fair.
