Do you remove your dealership decal?
I tell the dealer not to apply one .. but to remove them if you have a dark colored car park it with th rear facing the sun for 20 minutes then get one corner up and peel it off slowly at a radical angle.
Light colored car a hair dryer will help but don't hold it too close.
Any adhesive residue left gently rub it with a soft cloth and Rubbing Alcohol. The wax the area.
R/A is clear coat safe .. some of the other solutions may not be and damage caused may not be evident immediatly. Products containing Xylene are a no no .. as is laquer thinner and auto paint solvents etc.

I would suggest taking it back to the dealership and ask them to remove it.
Thankfully my dealer doesn't do that; instead they place a license plate on the front of the car advertising their company; and I had them remove it prior to leaving the lot.
Good luck!

First I told them I didnt want it on the car before it even shippped. As soon as the car arrived I went straight to the back of it and pointed it out. They removed it right then and there.
I would not take delivery of a car with one on it. I always say no front plate, and no decals. I've never had a problem. They can put their plate from on there, but it comes off when I get home.
I had a sticker and rear license plate on my car at purchase, despite my request to have neither. They came off as soon as the car was in my driveway. I like my dealer and advertise by word of mouth because I had a great sales experience, but that goodwill doesn't extend to giving the dealer free ad space on my car, as if it's a billboard.

Immediately after the car got in my garage for the first time, I removed the license plate holder. Clean on the back but need to wait about 1 week to get the front license plate screw hole cover from the dealership.
If they want to advertise their dealership with something on my car they have to give me some incentive, otherwise NO.
When I picked up my car I made them remove anything that had the dealer's signage on it. I flat out told em if they wanted me to have their name on my car than they can pay me to do it...otherwise remove all of it.

Plenty of license plate frames to go around though! I never understood why people keep the dealer plate frame on their car.

I think you are right although I see a ton of "BMW of San Francisco" logos on the trunks. Havent seen if they are on the newest ones yet. If my TL did come with a logo I'd take it off. I have to deal with the license plate until I can find one that I like. AZ should make license plate frames, I'd buy four.
Dealer Name Plates & Decals
I always specify on the contract that I don't want any dealer name plate or decal applied to the car. I do let the dealer install license plate frames showing the dealer's name. I don't see any need to aggravate the sales person. I figure I might as well maintain cordial relations.
I replace the frames upon arriving at home with simple, tasteful ones.

My dealer uses a number-plate frame instead, but did not put it on the car because I had my number plates from my prior car and I handed them the UVA frame for the rear plate.
i refuse delivery unless the decal is off
i bought a 01 CRV SE with the dealer decal on the bumper, even tho i clearly stated i didnt want any
retarded salesman scratched the clear(very small like 5mm wide) while removing the decal
i refused delivery unless the bumper was replaced, which it was
i have no issues with the plate frames, those i can handle

Dealer Decal or Advertising
Not that I have much to add, but:
The local dealer won't advertise for me and certainly doesn't give us any motivation to tell others about their wonderful pricing and service
, so...
I make sure there is no license plate holders or decals on my cars. You see my car, you like it, you know it's an Acura, go find one for yourself!
Oddly enough, I haven't seen any ebay or Auto Trader stickers on cars, even though hundreds of thousands are sold there!?

Usually, yes. However, on my TL the dealership had no time to slap one on - it came in one day off a lease and I bought it the next. In this case, if they had put one on I would have prepended "Don't Buy From" to the Nalley Acura sticker. I hated my salesperson and the entire experience. High pressure all the way. I did get the deal and exact TL I wanted though.
Never had to remove one, since I always stipulate in the contract that if it is affixed to the car, I will reject the sale. Amazing what a little financial muscle can accomplish.
Oh yes, no dealer license plate frames.
Hey, this dorks charge me for "processing fees" - why should my car become a billboard for gratis???

I have nothing against the dealer, just don't want the trash on my car
I make sure to tell them not to apply any stickers and if they did "by mistake" like when I picked up the wife's Ody, I
just had them take it back to the shop and remove it done deal...
Just like many others. No deal if there is any sticker on the car. As a concession I let them put a dealership license plate frame on. I remove it as soon as I get my own frame.
My favorite was back in the day when the dealers used to drill and affix metal dealership logos to the car. What on earth were they thinking ? That was truley a dark time. I never had such a car but saw the rust streaks below many here in the NE.
