Do you prefer to drive alone? or with a passenger?

Just a thought that came across my mind this monring. I prefer to drive alone. No one to bother me & I can sing as loud as i want. My Fiance constantly complains about stupidness: Ex. Like how fast im driving or she rolls my windows down when i have the A/C on & lets the polluted air inside my car. Kids arent allowed in my car at all. Thats what minivans with cloth seats are for. hehehe

Alone because I love to speed and no one to bitch about my choice of music. When I have people in my car, I gotta drive at least the speed limit and that's no fun.

I'd have to say that I do prefer to drive alone for the speed, music and driving with the windows down. I traveled a lot in my car for business, some years back driving 45-50k miles per year. Now that I don't have to drive so much I upgrade to the TL.

When I have my family in the car I definitely change drive driving, especially with my 5yr old with me. I did get nailed for 79 in a 65 with him the car back on Easter weekend going down I-81 in Salem, Va. , if you travel this way slow down at marker #160.

He didn't let me live it down. He got himself a clipboard when we got back home and was given me tickets for a couple of weeks.

Alone even with my friends that dont care about hard driving when they are the passenger.
I just feel the extra weight slowing the car down

Plus more gas usage

I prefer to drive alone, so I can drive the way I like driving. I hate having people in the car and having to adjust my driving accordingly.

Probably alone most of the time, for the same reasons above. Furthermore, I find driving alone to be sympathetic, especially when u just need time to think about stuff. My car actually calms me down, when i am pissed off at something/someone.

Alone. I drive long distances all the time and I hate having to stop for my passengers.

Where is the poll for this thread? It seems so far I fall under the same category as the majority of people.

I myself like to drive alone, for all the same reasons already named above!

As someone earlier said I HATE IT when they roll down my windows with the AC on or roll them up when its nice outside and they start whinning bout how hot outside is....

Wow...Surprised to see most of you prefer to drive alone....so here's my next question......Why didnt you buy Coupe instead of the TL. A 2 dr is suitable for one person. Here's my take.... I owned an 03 Accord V6 Coupe with Navi. Loved that car!!! Then my at the time my gf & friends kept saying the car was too uncomfortable in the BACK SEAT. Like I give a shit how comfortable you feel. hahahaha..As you see my GF crash the car. hahahaha, thats why im with the TL. The Accord had so many problems after that accident. It was actually in an accident that i never knew about when i bought the car. checked the car fax and everything. The prior accident, including mines, showed up on carfax when i went for the TL.

I prefer sports sedans because if I have passengers, they can open/close their own doors when they're riding with me. I had a coupe once and hated the fact of having to let them in/out every single time. So, the TL fits my needs perfectly.

This is a thread on the 3G board, so a COUPE isn't even an option. But as for that, I agree with mn2trance. They get there own doors. And as for me and a lot of others we have families.

Definitely alone.

My wife complains if I drive too fast. She constantly changing radio stations. And she always switches between "audio" screen and "navi/map" screens on the display. I don't need the map while I am driving around the neighborhood. Very annoying.

I find that I usually drive alone. Back and forth to work by myself. Usually drive when we go out to lunch cause I have a handicap sticker, easy to park. Don't start, it's legal. Ruptured tendons in both ankles. One operation last year (seven procedures), and I go in for the other ankle on 8/23. I'll be in a cast for five months.

When I'm with my family, my wife always bitches about my driving, so most times I just let her drive. On those rare occasions that I do drive with my family I tend to do about 5 mph above the speed limit and that's it, stay to the right and let everyone else pass me.

I'm at the point in my life where I have way more use for a 4 door than a coupe - and its not to haul others around.

Alone......I agree with the singing thing.

But I am the first to drive, when we are going out with some ladies. The TL is an impressive car, and I want them to get a taste.

I rarely ever sing in the car, but I also don't like passengers changing my music. Plus they nag too much. And they only put me at a weight disadvantage when I'm out cruising, looking for races.

I find anytime I think I'm alone.. I'm not. My Fast is with me always. Its hard to enjoy the sound of the engine with all that yakkin'. And, my Fast likes the windows down.

DOWN!
DOWN!

Yes, I know its a VW, but it true. So true.

This is my other reason for driving alone...One evening the gf and I were driving down the street and out of nowhere, this car double parks on a one way street. I'm waiting & i'm honking so this person could move. Come to find out, this female driver is waiting for a park and doesnt show blinkers or anything. As soon as she pulls into the parking space, I roll my gf's side window down & start yelling at this bitch. My Gf's like "Dont roll my side of the window down & yell at people, what if they had a gun, i'd be the first one to be shot" hahahahaha. I'm like what do you want me to do? stick my head out the sunroof so they can shoot at me first? hahahahahha

Alone. Adds like 5 extra horsepower so that we can compete with the G35 on the road.

Depends where I'm going and the reason I'm out and about.

Trips? My wife is a good passenger, so no problem there.

Back and forth to work? I definitely do NOT want car pooling maggots getting into my car. And as far as going out for lunch when at work, I much prefer someone else driving. That way I don't lose my choice parking spot and I don't have to fret about parking at lunch and someone dinging my doors. Also, I don't have to worry about coming down on a co-worker who might slam my door or do something I don't allow in my car.

On week ends when I'm running my errands or such, or just taking a TL moment, I want to be by myself. It soothes and satisfies me, and is most enjoyable. Out where I live, there are some really nice places to drive. No cities of any size (thank God), so no really bad traffic problems.

I like to drive alone for reasons mentioned above, I like to listen to my music as loud as I want, the windows rolled down and as fast as traffic permits, now if the wife comes along which I don't mind a bit, I just have to let her take over the radio, turn on the AC and keep it under 80....but she is the best navigator love can buy....

Plus, long trips with my wife -- she's asleep after the first 15min and doesn't notice the speed thanks to the car's excellent ride.
