Do you ever tilt your moonroof?

If there's no chance of rain, it helps heat escape while your car sits outside at work all day (although I don't do it, I know a lot of people who do). But for driving, unless it's ridiculously hot or cold, the windows are down and the sunroof open...stereo blasting, too. Come on man, with the weather we have here in NC, you shouldn't be doing anything else!

I use tilt when parked in the hot sun and for at least the first few miles after returning to the car in the hot sun. Also, it's useful for sucking out the occassional, ahem, bad smell, should the need arise at freeway speeds. I think the tilt and speed combine to form a bit of a venturi effect to make it particularly effective at drawing out the undesired air.

But, when parked - does the ventilation you gain by tilting it, make up for the heat increase from the sun heat entering via the glass. I know its tinted but there got to be a greenhouse effect here. The thing I do, is tilt it, then partially close the inside cover, leaving just a crack open.

Joe's got it right, I tried that on my highway drive tonight. Tilt the roof up, crack both rear windows an inch, and you have a decently quiet positive airflow that felt very comfortable and airy without being too noisy.

Just cause you did doesnt make it right. DUI isnt good. Im not even talking about the smoke in the car, thats not really a problem when you kill someone else. People do stupid things so im not persecuting any of you, but I recomend you save the pot and booze(hopefully nothing more) for parties, watching TV, or playing with guns.

Yeah, I close my moon-roof, and tilt it, when I go across the interstate bridge, because there are like a billion birds perched on the girders.
Otherwise, I tilt the moon-roof when it's raining out, and I need ventilation. I used to tilt the moonroof when I park in the sun, but one day, I got in my car, and a nice sized spider dropped down in front of my face while I drove away If you do tilt your moonroof, don't park under a tree

Well, our cars have the option of rollling the windows down from the key fob so hopefully by the time you get inside the car, it will be much cooler, regardless of whether the roof is closed or tilted
What i enjoy doing while driving on a nice day is tilting the roof and cracking the rear passenger window. It produces a nice vacuum and gives the driver a nice breeze!

Michiganrich- Try the 'joe-method' Fully crack the moonroof, and the open the rear right window only- about an inch. Its kinda noisy, but it puts you in the position of the most wind turbulance. Or dont- haha

I cant tell if you are being sarcastic or not. How would you get a 10% HP increase, in addition how would you measure it, cant on a dyno. So I assume you use a wind tunnel? If anything the moonroof increases the drage factor.
