DIY LED Vanity Lights 04-08 TL

This was pretty easy, took me like 10 mins tops. Pretty simple all I used was a flathead screwdriver. Hope this helps some of you guys.

Vanity Lights

You will see where the flathead should go

There is a lil tab you will push then slowly pry down the cover. Note* Dont pry too hard you could break it.

Get the cover out

Remove light from harness by pressing tab and pulling

Theres a little cover you will take out.. Very easy to come out with the flathead

My bulb released very easy. Some may be hard to come out, use flathead to take it out. Be careful not to break bulb in there

Install LED bulb. Dont forget the little clear cover! Then put light back in same way it came out

And your all set.. I did LED conversion to the whole car, very bright, im very happy with them.

Hope this helps. Good Luck!

Yeah I don't recall taking anything apart and the bulbs I put in look identical, plenty bright for that application. Does anyone else think it's stupid that the light isn't next to the mirror? When you flip the cover up it blocks most of the light... every other car I had the lights are on each side of the mirror.

Unless you are putting on make up on; I never use the sunvisor mirror.

Have to agree. Why is the light shining down which causes shadows, instead of having a light shine directly into your face?

To the OP, nice write up and pics. I was wondering how to pop those covers off.

easier to take out the stock bulbs by using some tape.

The bulbs are 2825

The 2825, 168, and 194 are all the same size with different wattage

I got them from ebay.

Thanks bro. I pulled out the plastic cover because for some people the bulbs are hard to come out and to avoid breaking the bulb they should take that out.
