DIY: Hidden windshield wipers

Part Nos:
76620-T2F-A01 and 76630-T2F-A01

I finally got a chance to try the new 2013+ accord sedan wipers. They are the new design with the mount on the side instead of on top so the arm sits lower. Not to mention the whole wiper is pretty low profile.
Also, since the wiper arm sits lower, I was able to rotate the arm counterclockwise so it hides even more.
The end result is a wiper that is pretty much 100% hidden.

Results:

the DIY was when I told you to use the 2013+ accord sedan wipers and rotate the arms. Both steps are extremely easy, I dont see why you would need further clarification.

Is the drought in california causing this annoyance? You're pretty much never using the wipers anyways so they just sit there and taunt you as you drive? I know they taunt me whenever they squeak when I use them because I never use them down in San Diego.

I also don't understand what you mean by rotate the arms counterclockwise.

most newer cars have adapted this hidden wiper feature.
its not something most ppl notice at first glance but when someone tells you about it, you will start to notice it on more and more cars. For example, the 06-08 tsx got updated hidden wipers compared to the 04-05. makes the windshield look much cleaner. its one of those features that take awhile to appreciate, but once you do you will start to notice them on more cars.

I meant rotating them as in, remove the wiper arm cap, loosen the 17mm nut, pull the wiper arm a bit, and rotate it down 1 spline or so. its a similar concept to install a steering wheel, it must fit in certain grooves.

approx $20 each wiper. part number is really easy to find. quite frankly you wouldnt even really need it, you could just go into the dealership and they will know where the wipers are off the bat.
Or you can go on the 9th gen accord forums and get a pair of used ones for super cheap. Im sure there are ppl who get aftermarket wipers and have no use for the oem ones.

Or you could try the Goodyear low profile that Costco sells for ~$5.00.

You could, but your wipers won't be hidden I have been looking for a long time to do this mod but wasn't sure which blades fit and now I finally found it.
I know this is not something that most ppl notice but I'm sure there's got to be someone else here that will appreciate this mod

I'll have to pay attention on the way home to see what they look like now. Then again, since I don't even know, maybe that's a sign I don't need to do this.

I know how you guys feel. At first I didnt really care either. Then I started to notice more and more cars with this feature. It makes the windshield look so clean. Once you are used to this mod, you will look at old cars that show the whole wiper and you will think its ugly.

Those are nice...especially for the price...but still not as good of a wiper as the Accord blades. I replaced the GY ones from Costco based on the previous threads on here about the Accord blades and am much happier overall. The GY blades tended to skip a bit on the lower part of the windshield.

$20 is for both the wiper and the arm?

You don't need new arms, just the wiper. The arm wouldn't fit anyways.

That looks badass! So just the wiper blades from a 13+ accord? About to do this soon before rainy season starts

edit: does it matter what kind of accord, like v6, 2dr or sedan?

How is the coverage, use, and noise of the new wipers once in action? We don't get much rain but it would be bad if these streaked, were streaky, or didn't have the coverage we needed

The 2013+ accords all have the same wiper, coupe or sedan, any trim.

The same coverage, they have the exact same specs (26"/19") as oem. It's a perfect match

I put a lot of research into finding the perfect wiper blades. I definitely wanted something OEM so wiper refills are cheap and accessible, has the exact same length as oem for maximum coverage, and low profile for a clean look. The 2013+ accord wipers are the answer.

Do they streak at all when you put on the wiper fluid and clean the windshield? I haven't found a pair yet that doesn't, including our oem ones

nope! These wipers are new though so they better not streak haha. 6 months down the road, who knows? But wipers are wearable items anyways so they should be replaced every year.

How was the condition of your wipers? The hot socal weather takes a beating on rubber parts so even if they are only a couple months old the rubber may start to degrade

they streak right out of the packaging haha. maybe my arms are the issue? i went oem, then tried some rain-x ones, then went back to oem. oem has been the best but i'm not satisfied. i usually replace them every year.

if you get a chance can you try to see if they streak? i may switch over

Coming from a guy that takes the wiper arms off his car for car shows for as long as I can remember, its def a big improvement. Wish I had seen this thread a little earlier though. I like having great blades on my car and just dropped the money on Bosch Icons. Bummer. Oh well. Next time

When I first saw this thread the other day I just thought to myself you have crazy ADD...

Now.. all I do is stare at mine when I pull out of my garage... Damn you.

I just put new blades on, so maybe once they run their cycle I'll consider this.
