Different ECU in 3 Gen Type S
ALL TL's have the same compression. 11:1
the 2006 TL ECU actually got restricted in 1st gear to limit traction loss.
the one you are thinking of is the 2004 Acura TL 6MT Aspec. this car had an ECU tuned with aggressive timing... but again, by 2006 Acura wised up and limited that.

Understand that the torque converter isnt going to spin the tires as much as compared to popping the clutch in a 6MT but the reason why i ask is because when i launch from 2nd gear my tires spin so why wouldnt 1st spin all the way through? Would make sense if the ecu was reducing timing to make 1st gear slower which is my question. Thanks.
06 TL have a hybrid between a 04 and an 07 ecu for the MT. It uses 5 pin connector for the Mt so it can use hondata, but still needs you to wire in the can us to obd2 wires. As for the auto ecu I believe it is similar to the 04 ecu.
If if you have a my get hondata and spin all you want. Unlock all limitations and speed restrictions
