Did some serious off-roading in the TL

Last night I took the TL up this insanely steep rocky dirt road up a few miles to the top of a mountain. There were parts that I swear I cant beleive the car didn't just spin tire from the steep angle. There were huge ruts that I sailed over with ease. It was really narrow and I kept thinking that if I couldn't go any further I'd have to back all the way down this cow path, and we all know there's nothing more annoying than backing up in the "can't see shit in the back" TL!!

But the reward for making it up this mountain pass was as rewarding as could be!! Sex under the stars on a blanket with a candle to set the mood. WOW, it really was spectacular I wouldn't have cared if the car just shit to bed right there at the top, just as long as it got me there and I got to enjoy the best night ever. Thank you Acura for building a sleeper 4x4!!

it's a habit for me to turn to look back when im backing up, rather than just looking at the mirrors, and everytime, i ask myself "why the hell do i bother looking back? i can't see shit"

anyway, sounds like you had a blast. once the afterglow passes, you might wanna check out the car (especially the wheels & tires) for damage.

The great thing about leasing the car is Im not really concerned about hurting the car too much.

Age 29 - still livin at home with the 'rents or what? Keep the TL in the garage and since you don't mind risking damage to the car - next time show her how smooth the hood is or something - but off-roading? C'mon.

But....you got some last night and I didn't - so here's to you man.

I have some problems with this story:

Sailing over huge ruts? A TL bottoms out crossing train tracks.

A candle under stars? A candle will not stay lit outdoors.

The TL a sleeper? I don't think so.

WTF? I haven't taken my TL for any real off-roading (nor would I), but it did just fine on a dirt/gravel road from the main road to a trail head. Definitely need to keep the speed down, though.

Why wouldn't a candle stay lit outdoors unless it was really windy or raining? There's plenty of oxygen outside.

Why are you such a hater?? First off, the TL was scraping a little in some spots, if that makes you feel better. The candle actually was very difficult to keep lit. I had to keep it close to the car to shelter it from the wind. My reference to the TL being a sleeper was a joke, and it frightens that you didn't get it. How could the TL really be a sleeper 4x4. The bigger question is why I just wasted a minute of my life answering question from a jealous hater

TL is a hell of a lot nicer then a motel. In fact it would probably be cheaper to PURCHASE some of these motels.

So you admit to lying.

I've submitted recall papers to the membership committee of this forum to have you removed. When you appear before the board, I suggest you shave and wear a suit and tie. A remorseful and contrite demeanor would not hurt either.

This thread has run its course. Most of what he said was obviously joking, but some people didn't get it and some did.

The topic is more suited to Ramblings, and you can repost there is you want to.
