Did my t belt today but I have questions
I removed the old t belt and compared to the new one and the news one is shorter. Are these t belt have the same number of teeth. It seem my new t belt is 4-5 teeth shorter than the old belt. Is it because the is stretched as it getting older.
So I the installed new t belt, water pump tensioner , idler and adjusting pulley. Did a few turns to make sure the #1 on the front cam, the vertical line on rear cam and the crankshaft sprocket are lined up. And every repeatedly perfectly.
It is the AISIN KIT #002 and the Belt is made by mitshibishi

Count all the teeth of both belts for me and confirm
All of us using the Aisin TKH-002 have no problems

You already have an entire thread about your MDX work in the TL forum...why can't this all be in the same thread? I could care less that you are in the TL forum with this stuff....pretty much everything you are chasing is applicable to both vehicles....but a new thread for every little question that happens to be related to the previous threads??

Old belt stretches over time
Marks look fine.. put the CP back and turn it a few rotations and re-check marks. Then put CP bolt to spec.
Put it all back together, put the PS res back in bracket, plug in everything, make sure it's clear. Double check.
Then turn that bitch over.
