I know it's all opinion but how could you consider any Civic no matter what the model even equal to a TL regardless of the trim? IMO, Civic is for commuters, college kids, or a secondary beater car to keep the miles off the TL.

ITR has a cult following so I won't go there.

Civic's are very nice, fun cars. Killer value overall (especially when purchased used). Plus I hate Autos if you couldn't tell...

If it ever came down to it, I would sell my 05 TL 6MT long before my 94 Civic CX hatch (w/ B18C-R ). The Civic is already a classic...

LOL. I guess it's a different way of looking at it but I look at the Civic as an econobox. TL is a semi-luxury sporty classy car.

Even the slowest model TL is faster than the fastest model Civic all the while retaining comfort and luxury.

I'm not trying to put the Civic down in that manner. Afterall, my GN is not exactly a chic magnet.

yeah but its a grand national.. that car is easily noticed. now for a civic it takes a 2nd look before the average person would even be able to notice the trim.

Still, 9 out of 10 would prefer the Civic. Even though I'm not into them that much, the Si stands out to me in a crowd, especially the old ones. Wait until you try and describe my car to a girl. "It's an old gangster style Regal with a turbo". Doesn't sound too appealing lol.

Off topic but my friend's wife took over his '06 M3. He hasn't driven it in a year. Just recently she asked to trade it for a new 325i because it's cuter. He mentioned the power difference and the fact that it's an M3 and she doesn't care. So the mint condition low mileage M3 is getting traded for a 325i for "cuteness".

People can be so stupid sometimes.

As for the Civics, it's not really an "out of the box" stunner. Just like any Honda, it responds well to customization. The great thing is that they are so much fun to drive. Pretty much all Honda's are sporty and that's what makes them great. Even my wife's Element AWD 5MT can be blast. Especially in the snow...

In contrast, have you ever test driven a Nissan? I swear the steering wheel of the latest Altima felt like a wet dish-rag.

It's an upgrade. My TL is pretty much stock, save for the tints. I've finally paid it off after buying it new. I think I may have the bug to get A-spec kit and/or deck lid spoilers. Maybe even 18inch rims.

Ha Ha...! Wish I had $20 for every 325 I've blown off in traffic in the 2 1/2 months that I've had my TL... It'd pay for a weekend of debauchery in a foreign country....!
