I talked to a dealer who participates in it and he told me they're required to quote MSRP and won't really budge from that. I don't think for a car like the TL you are necessarily going to benefit from using the Costco program.

Don't know about Costco but BJ's auto program is showing a price of $32,120 for a AT/NAVI vs. MSRP of $35,195. My dealer is offering me $400 off (I guess because NAVI's are so hard to find). But the truth is that I have extra cars and waiting a month or so for a $3K savings would be worth the wait. My deals been held up because I am waiting on a guy to buy my high performance toy before I buy this one... Even once he does buy it I might wait until BJ's can order me one...

When I went thru BJ's, the dealer offered $500 max, Costco had no Acura participating in my area dealers. Buyer's Edge and Gold Star buying programs offered up to $1250 over the phone.
I did learn that I could do invoice or better on a Honda but opted for the TL instead.

Does that mean that the "wholesale price" that BJs lists is actually inaccurate?

Guys - These leads are turning up bad. There are NO discounts available through BJ's. Their website is having difficulty (try the "get a live person" feature and you will notice that your actually sending an alert and getting an email back. PEOPLE - That is NOT a LIVE person!!! I sell the software that helps companies implement customer service features that integrate into a live call center (some are even 24x7 and staffed in India). Sorry about the wandering off topic...The price on the BJ's site shows MSRP and "Wholesale". It never actually SAYS you can buy it at wholesale (it just strongly IMPLIES it). I guess there is some legal stuff protecting them on this. I spoke with the Customer service rep. The nearest BJ's participating Acura dealer was in Lancaster, PA. I was given the wrong contact person but evenutally found my way to the right people. After a breif discussion with their agent regarding my interest in the TL, he came back and told me that "Those cars are so hot right now that we have back orders for 3 months. You want a deal? OK, How's MSRP and a three month wait sound to you"? In reality, he was actually pretty nice but could offer ZERO discounts. Needless to say, I followed back up with BJ's customer support to let them know that their "service" is NOTHING, NADA, ZIP. They are simply running a basic referral service and there is NO benefit to using them. Kinda figures...in this case you actually do get what you pay for...NOTHING!
