Depo Side Markers

I know a lot of people have had success with the Depo side markers, unfortunately I am having issues installing them. They simply will not click in at all. I read that people had to modify the light for it to fit. What needs to be done for the side markers to click in?

Push hard and make sure the little plastic hooks on the sides have a very defined edge. If the edge is rounded they're not going to click.

Let's be honest though, if you look at the sidemarker and study how it clips to the car, it's pretty obvious what you'll need to do. There's not many parts involved.

exactly.

I bought DEPO side markers. they DID NOT "CLICK" in.
so, what Did I do? found out by studying and looking at the plastic to see which side isnt clicking in.
there's only two options....if its sticking way out, sand, or take out material...if not clicking because not enough material there, add material.

very simple.

Yep, just something you have to do by trial and error.

Observation is an incredible thing.

Thanks guys didn't mean to be a nuisance. I guess the best way to approach it is to file the tabs down? You mentioned adding material. How do you go about that?

he means that if it's loose behind, add like a popsicle stick or something from behind the sidemarker so that gap is closed

i have the depo rear side markers.. The foam that they come with doesnt allow them to clip it because its too thick.. What i did was remove the foam and use the oem foam fit like a glove.

The foam is indeed thicker, but for me pushing hard made it clip and it's weatherproof. My foam on my OEM side markers, after 11 years, was not looking so good.

if that is indeed the problem, yes...add something. cardboard, paper, Popsicle stick. anything that will keep the plastic from falling out.

but you really have to look and inspect which points are hitting or not hitting.
