Wow! Glad you are ok! I was expecting more damage but it looks like a new Windshield and Front left Quarter panel and a detail to get all the glass out.

Wow, I had almost identical damage when a piece to re-tread came off a truck in front of me about 3 week ago. Was doing 75 MPH on I-95. Very weird to have the glass shards falling like snow in the car. Was about $3K to repair and just got the car back this week.
Got the hood, quarter panel and roof repainted, new light lens and of course windshield. I had a clear bra and got a new one installed.

Man, I hate deer. That looks like it won't be too much for insurance to fix.

Glad you are ok.

Did the deer slide over the top or stop at the windshield?

Thanks... The deer hit the windshield then went airborne over the top of the car. I'm still amazed the windshield stayed intact. If you look at where the impact was had the windshield failed there is a good chance I wouldn't be here.

Thumbs up

This definitely gives me a lot of peace of mind...there are deer EVERYWHERE here, they walk around in my backyard on a nightly basis so I'm always paranoid that I'll hit one, especially while driving in the canyon.

With any luck, I'll avoid them altogether. But if not, I can hope for this instead of making Bambi a permanent hood ornament.

ouch, glad you're ok. Damage looks repairable, air bags didn't deploy either, so repair costs won't be as high as they could have been

Good thing it wasn't a moose or you might not be talking about it. Deers are so dumb, I'm convinced they have no brain.
