rockauto will only have aftermarket ones. oem will be more expensive but when it comes to motor mounts i would always choose oem

I'll leave this here, but I wont post the exact part numbers, I cant do all the work for you.

Oh reminds me I need to order some again, stupid idle vibrations are still present, maybe the ones I just installed are faulty.

There are several options on eBay but I'm not certain if they're rebuilds or aftermarket or what. They look identical to oem and they're a lot less expensive, that's for sure.

Something like this:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/03-07-Honda-Accord-3-0L-Transmission-Engine-Mounts-Hydraulic-6-PCS-Kit-0037-/251280057904?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Make%3AAcura%7CModel%3ATL%7CYear%3A2006&hash=item3a81756630&vxp=mtr
I'd check the reviews though. The last thing you want are bum motor mounts.

This^

I have always purchased OEM mounts, but they last about 1.5-2 years max.

I dont know why they go out so fast, I never drive my car hard ALL the time lol..

But it gets annoying as its always the front one to go out first.

^thats because if you look at the design of the mounts, they arent very stout...

even honda civic si's have better designed mounts than we do.
a '99 Chevy Malibu with 150hp has stronger mounts than we do.
I strongly recommend the XLR8 mounts, because the design is different while still utilizing the factory mount points

I checked your website out. So its front, rear and side.

Why do they look shorter? I may just order these rather than the OEM through my dealer, but they are always good to me with discounts.

see the pivot points through the center of the bushings?
its intended to move with the engine, whereas the factory mounts dont move and eventually will break through the center.

The side mount IS SHORTER. you'll have to buy washers or get the correct sized bolts. I used washers on mine and while it looks ghetto as fawk, it does the job just fine.

yes, I see.

It looks shorter, was it difficult to get the washers and bolts to fit properly? Just want to see how much trouble of doing it, since my uncle will be the one to install he is very busy and hates to spend too much time to get washer/bolts to fit and line up.

But he does great work with taking enough time to install parts for me or I'll be upset.

if he gets the correct bolts, which are identified in another thread here on acurazine, all he would have to do is bolt the side in, just like normal.

Yes. They are a direct replacement mount. It's the same height.

We actually include all the hardware now. It has the correct size bolts for the side mount.

Good to know, I'll still think about it as I just replaced my motor mounts like 3 weeks ago, and the front one is out. but side and rear are fine.

Idk how the front can go out so fast unless it was defective.

I don't know how some people go through mounts like I go through underwear and others have no issues. My car has full bolt ons, I take it to the track a lot and mine were still good at 93k.

softer means more comfort though, and most car buyers prefer that

I was gonna go with OEM but i believe the XLR8 mounts will last longer, they definitely look like they are built better and they happen to be cheaper. I just hope they aren't too stiff so i don't feel any vibration from the engine because some aftermarket mounts can be a bit stiff, but those are the only ones i'd take over OEM.

^75a durometer's arent bad at all.
a little vibration, inside the cabin with the A/C on.

passengers can feel it at stop, but it isnt like a built subaru, where its motherfucking racecar status....

the 75a's still retained luxury feel, just a little more pronounced.
seriously, its not bad at all.

My friend drove my car the other night and laughed.
why?
because he thought it was going to be a Michael J. Fox up in that bitch.
lol, its not.

Aftermarket mounts on a manual is no big deal. However on an auto it's usually not preferred. Unless you really want to go race car status

If you really don't want to feel "any vibration" like you said, then you will NOT be happy with the aftermarket mounts. The car will idle like all your mounts are broken. But driving wise it'll feel great.
