I guess I'll be the first to reply....I've always thought that WDP has always accentuated all the wonderful curves of the 3g TL. Debadging makes it look even sexier.

IMO, if there's too much "writing" on the rear end, it's distracting.

For some reason, I personally think de-badging looks better on the darker tl's (black, maroon, blue) than on lighter colors. Just my opinion... I think it's a contrast thing....

That being said, I have a NBP and probably won't be de-badging it anytime soon (even though it may look good on my color)..

I voted for NBP but IMHO all cars that have less lettering in the back look cleaner and classier, but that's just me...

The first four letters of your user name will work wonders. A blow drier, or even hot (not boiling) water poured over the badges will also help.

Then use dental floss in a sawing motion and the badges should easily come off. The middle A badge is held in by a bolt so don't try the dental floss method with that one.

Any glue residue will come off easily with either a little gentle rubbing or alcohol or tar remover.

I cannot decide at all... one minute I have the floss and goo gone out and the next minute I am afraid it will look ricey. I have seen debadged cars that looked gutted out and like someone was trying to cover up the fact that thier car was a lower model.... also people that buy the lowest end of a brand are often the first to debadge, or at least that is the image of debadgers to some extent. I am all for clean lines but I just can't decide... I hate cars that look like they are trying to be something they are not.

LOL. Changed my mind again. I've decided it looks too fat without badges. I'll leave it alone.

just de-badged!

WOW! After reading this thread, I went out to my garage and did the deed! And I have to say that THIS IS HOW THE TL IS SUPPOSED TO LOOK!!! I just used dental floss, my fingernail, windex, and polish.

i did! yours

i really need to detail my car soon. i'm missing how the sun just hits it giving that lens flare effect

i may debadge only the "TL" in the back and once i get my A-spec aero kit and suspension, i may place it where the "TL" used to be.

Just picked up my '06 last Saturday, picked Carbon Bronze over Anthacite, tinted 35%.
Carbon Bronze only in Canada?
