might want to stay away from the finger thing since you may create a swirl type effect...
definitely ooops or goo gone will take care of the adhesive residue after you heat it up a little bit with a hair dryer as mentioned above...

I made Curry remove their damn sticker off when I picked up the car... I actually gave them a choice... you either write me a CHECK every month for me Advertising for you... or remove the sticker.... I guess their advertising budget was tapped out...

That's what you should do, have the dealer remove it prior to accepting delivery (not the demand a check part necessarily).
99 times out of a hundred, they won't give you any static at all. People ask dealers to remove these decals all the time. It's not big deal for them.
And, consider this:
You've just made a deal for a $25,000 (used) or $35,000 car. You're getting ready to sign on the dotted line and put money in thier pocket. Do think for an instant they'd risk losing you over a *sticker*? I think not.
