Dash Lights Normal or Abnormal?

Ok.... Just replaced all my dash lights under and around the Nav screen as a few of them were out. I noticed after replacing them my "setup" and "zoom" buttons aren't as bright as the others. It's very faint but still lights up, and this is after bring replaced. Initially I thought they weren't even lit.

Is this is how it's suppose to be? I can't remember. Someone share.

These are OEM bulbs. Not aftermarket LED's.

The bulbs are not the same throughout the TL...even if they are OEM, are you certain you matched specific part numbers?

For instance, the bulbs on the seat heaters employ a different voltage draw and a brown base whereas the nav uses a blue base with a different voltage...

I'm not that dumb. LoL. Part number were matched with extreme dilligence. Cost me $60 fricken bucks if this was a few years back I would've prolly been bold like you and did something custom but have no time for projects like that. FML.

So what does this mean? My switches are bad?

In my 05 TL, the Navi button and A/C control buttons illuminate at a dimmer output when its on mid brightness, than radio controls for CD/Tape are much brighter, than moving onto the steering wheel lights are similar to the navi buttons in brightness.

Only ones I have replaced are the steering wheel controls and 1 heater switch, everything else still turns on.

They appeared like this since I bought the car, and thought it was normal, but now you all are second guessing me. Now wondering if all those lights in the center console will dimm out until they die.

Here is a photo

DUDE, now that I have a son, no kidding...no way would I have time to do that now

As best as I can recall, my lighting was NOT homogenous throughout the array...

Damnit, I took too long to take a photo of mine and upload it in time after I posted. Sorry for the crappy photos, took them off my phone.

Here is mine with half brightness<my preference. See how the top is dimmed and the radio controls are brighter.

Now look at them when I have it on full brightness, they are all equal somewhat as a few are off. So I can see where OP is mentioning the output differences. <I dont leave on full since I dont want to burn out the bulbs faster with higher watts.

Thanks for the photos... that helps alot. There is definitely something wrong with my switches it seems unless I just got 2 defective bulbs which I really doubt but I guess its possible. I will post pics in a bit.

Is this more or less what you are seeing. I just lived with the difference since I refuse to have it on the brightest setting.

But all work fine so no bulbs are burned, not sure why it looks like that but oh well, unless all my lightbulbs go out than I'll replace.

I uploaded the pics into my albums but everytime I click it to get the img code to post the pic doesn't load. I'll try to post it tonight.

But I can tell you right now my zoom and setup buttons definitely are no where near bright like that. The best way to describe it is ... it's as if these two buttons are at the dimmest setting with the others at the brightest setting.
