dark tints on AM TL....
dark tints on AM TL....
i was thinking about getting some tints for my TL, i was thinking bout getting 20% until i saw another AM TL on the road with some dark tints and i thought to myself, "that doesnt look too good"
so i was wondering if its a better idea to get 35% tint, although 35% is not dark at all, but it might look better for a AM TL
what do u guys think?
20% or 35%?
thanx

Got Fomula One Pinnacle (35%) AM/Ebony.
Do a search and you'll find a number of pictures/photos.

Check these out and then decide if you want 35%, if not go with 20%. Good Luck in your decision and don't forget to post some pics after you get 'em done.

I have an AM TL-S and went with 20% in the rears and 50% in the fronts...
I was not happy with the lightness of the fronts and ended up having the fronts replaced with 35%...
So currently... 20%/35%... I am happy with that set up...

IMHO, 30-40% tints on TL's look sweeeeet.
depending on what you have done to the car (wheels, body kits, etc) a 20% may look good, but i'm partial to the "shadow" films as opposed to the the "limo" tints.
i also like to see cars that have same % tint all around.

My wife has 35% on her Altima 3.5SE with black interior and her car gets about 15 to 20 degrees hotter (estimate) than mine after sitting in the sun all day.
The difference in temp may have something to do with me having Pinnacle but I'm not sure. The Altima has standard dealer installed film tint.

that is soooo wrong!!!
70% is for front door windows, and there's a state official trying to pass a state bill to change it to 90% minimum !!! factory no-tint glass is probably darker than 90%, so i wonder how that would work ??
I live in NY and have 20% all around, never been troubled by the cops, they only time I have heard of anyone getting stopped by them is on the way into the tunnels, so just open your roof visor and add a little extra light to the car. I think cops have better things to do than that these days.
I have a friend who would always quickly roll down his front windows if he was able to spy a police car to reduce the risk of being stopped for his dark front tints...
He did this in the winter or summer...didn't matter... But, of course, out here in the Bay Area, the winters are not as extreme...
