I was driving on the freeway going to work, when I was about to exit, a rock came flying into the windshield. I thought it wasn't a big deal until I looked closely at the windshield and what do you know, a star shaped CRACK dead on the middle!

 

Could've been worse... A while ago my wife was driving the TL on the freeawy minding her own business... The temp guage started rising, so she pulled over... Coolant was literally gushing everywhere from the radiator... After having it towed and looked at... A rock had punctured the radiator. I had never had a rock puncture the radiator in 20 years of driving... When I went to work and asked people if they ever had a rock puncture in their radiator. I found 2 others.... And guess what... They were all TL's (This was with our 2G TL, not our 3G TL)

And to make matters worse, the dealer tried to void the warranty on the engine saying that driving it without coolant will void the warranty. I ripped the dealer a new one about how that was ludicrous, as the temp guage didn't even get to the red zone, and the low-coolant indicator didn't illuminate. And she pulled over immediately.

Then to add salt to the wound.... A month later, when the tranny blew up, dealer tried to tell me that we needed to flush the radiator, because the coolant was dirty... I told them to look up in their service records to see if the radiator was replaced because of a rock punture less than 4 weeks previous... They found the record. I asked if replacing a radiator involves replacing the coolant. They said yes... So I asked him to explain why I need to have it flushed again? They had no answer for me....

(I hope that service advisor got fired....)

 

^ That's some brutal experiences w/ the acura dealership... makes me dread ever to go there...
