Custom Tail Lights and Head Lights by AckTL05

AckTL05 I doubt you remember as you did my lights about 4 months back. I came for the install and you helped me put on my rear window spoiler. But great job.
BTW I have no idea why my photos are upside down as they are saved right side up on my computer. Also I have since then plastidipped my grille

Nice work, I have only tinted the out side of lights with tail light film.
You are taking the light apart that is tight. I have a question I want to put
an led strip inside my head light how do i get the lens off?

I am looking around for a set to get done but still figuring everything out yet. Just want to make sure I have the facts right....
07/08 base - clear diffusers, red bezel, reflector & signal
Type S - red diffusers, signals, reflector, bezel sometimes chrome, sometimes black?

the second pix and the third above does not have red during the day. I think you have to have a red reflector of some sort so if your tail light does not work at night, the other drivers can see you.

I like turtles
to be honest, you should be driving around with a busted taillight, that gets you pulled over too.

That's the catch 22, during the day a driver can see a car but at night the reflectors are there so the driver can see the car. Styles like those look Oem not blacked out like niteshaded ones so the cops think the tails are legal. Also the car itself needs a reflector on the rear not necessarily in the tails be ause look at the old mountaineers, they have all clear tails but a reflector in the bumper. I've seen some people put reflective tape in the rear of the a spec lip in the middle on each side with clear tails. the way I do it, looks Oem so there really shouldn't be a problem as the Tls with completely nightshade tails that screams smoked and illegal.

OOH BABY! the one in the 2nd picture is hot, I want. Those are 07/08s right?
Also I found these, selling for about $50 each. The site has good reviews, there were a few other sites using the same stock images and selling for roughly the same price range, probably the same parent company.
Can these be trusted?

Those aren't OEM. They will be DEPO or eagle eyes..I can get used OEMs for around $150 and new OEM's for $205 shipped to me for work.
OP. I cut the tail lights opened and interchanged the parts.

Ack, I want to do one like in the 2nd picture on your post# 905. I will probably get one of your used OEMs....
I have an idea for the reflector though. I know they make some CF vinyl wraps that are highly reflective. I don't mean the type where the reflection comes from glossy shiny coating. There are a some where the reflective properties is in the weaved pattern and it looks like the pattern is made of metal. Do you think those will reflect much light if my lights aren't on i.e. sitting on the side of the freeway?
Ideas in regards to having reflectors elsewhere besides the tail lights. I was thinking that matte silver metal strip above the plate or the plate bracket might be good. If it has to be red then might not look so good, but dark reflective would look nice.

I think that would be good actually, but not for nothing...the turn signal end part is actually a reflector as well..

Sorry guys I have been very busy the past few days. Will post more pictures. I make custom headlights and tail lights weekly but try not to post the "same" style unless its on a different color car...sad part is 90% of the customers own WDP/BLACK or SSM.
I am doing a color matched 07-08 royal blue set tomorrow so will post pictures of those once they're done.

I purchased hacked up custom tails from a member that had OEM, Depo AND Eagle Eye parts. The Eagle Eye internals do not fit anything like the OEM or Dep.
Just a notice to anyone who's going to purchase after-market tails.

Sorry, didn't read the 20+ pages in this thread. I have an '04 lights, so what are my options without buying another set of rear lights? Painting the bezel only and no clearing of any kind?
