Thank you. I have so many more pictures but I just don't have any time to sit and upload them. I try not to post duplicates of headlights unless they're on a different color car or something because who wants to see 30 sets of headlights all done the same way?

I have some more to upload but won't get them up for a little bit.

Hey Ack, I'm interested in the 07-08 base smoked out except brake lights. (pic is on your original post, I believe its the second example pic.) How do you tint these? I'm assuming you put the film on the inside of the light?

I spray tint them so its more even. I tint them on the insides so that the light still shines through and is not compromised at all. If you are interested still please PM me.

For trade

I have these TYPE-S headlights for trade. They have ZKWs installed and are blacked out. I took them off of my buddies car and I did the work. No problems at all. I am looking to trade for stock TYPE-S and only TYPE-S. $100 plus shipping or $100 swapped if you are local and I would do the swap for a small fee.

Also have these for trade/sale. They are TYPE-S with tint on everything and a black bezel. Came off of the same car and they are $250 or $160 plus stock trade and shipping. I would take either base 07-08 or TYPE-S on the trade:

Quick question,
would you recommend having the frost diffuser or removing it?
(with the red brake lens).

I'm contemplating if I should remove mine or not.

The only purpose it serves is to "diffuse" the lights and make it "one". If you remove it you will see the individual LEDs. I am unsure on the legality of this but I like either or.

Yes but you would have to buy the tail lights as I just want 07-08 tail lights on the trade and the headlights I need TYPE-S back.

Nope. When I make custom ones I throw them in since the 3G TL likes to have an opening exposed to the inside.

I used my trade in set to help him out since he was trading in the car. I need to get a straight swap for these. If I did sell them, I would need to locate another set and it would be the $100 plus cost of me getting new ones.

I really like the ^^ tails and headlights above it...correct me if I'm wrong but that appear to be color matched for the ASM Type-S?

They are color matched for the 04-06 SSM. Pretty much almost the same color as the ASM, but the headlights are for the 04-06 as you can tell there is only one projector.

If you could make them so they are the same color, I'll take them!

Anybody do 04-06 all red tails with just the turn signal clear? I'm thinking of doing that but would like to see it first.

No point, tbh.
I believe the base o4-o6 tails already have clear internals anyway. If not, the red lens from the base tails will make the clear turn signal still shine and appear white. Unless you want to remove the turn signal lens... it may shine light ever so slightly different but otherwise won't do much.
The filter on the red base tails is very strong. I shined a white LED bar through it with red brake lens and clear brake lens. The output looked the same.

If you wanted to give the turn signal a more distinct look versus the rest of the tails... you can have everything smoked except for the turn signal. This will give whatever smoked a gloss/dark-red-chrome sort of look while the turn signal will be 'normal'.

...What?

I'm talking about taking the all red tails, and just simply removing the red from the turn signal area so it's clear. Like these, but with the rest of the tail red.

Like these?

Or did you literally want to do an 07-08 tail light with the red instead of the clear and replace the red turn signal with the clear?

Sorry. My mistake. Judging by this post and the picture you posted you wanted o7-o8 base instead of o4-o6 base.

Like these but where the grey is, I want that red. So just like I said, ALL RED tails (like 04-06), but where the TURN SIGNAL AREA is, I want that completely CLEAR. What's so confusing about this?

Yeah, you'd want o7-o8 base tails since the bezel is red.
The o4-o6 have a red outer lens.

May I suggest using Duplicolor's Red Metalcast paint on the bezel?
It has such a brilliant red finish.
