But I was wondering if you are able to make the front (amber) and rear (red) sidemarkers blink IN SYNC with the front and rear turn signals.

This would require a delay of the shut off.
From my understanding it is not possible to get them to blink in sync unless you directly hook them up to the turn signals power (but this would loose all capabilities to run them while the parking lights are on). If I am wrong, please let me know.

I can make them any color (As posted above at the website). I have installed a white set for a friend, another white set for a member here and also make blue side markers for a friend as well but haven't installed them yet.

My rear ones are going to be red and front will be an amber color. I just haven't had the time to install them on my car yet.

Hm, I'm not against the idea of losing the led lights when the parking lights are on, so as long as they blink in sync with the front and rear turn signals. Is this something you're able to do?

Well you still wanted the rears to be bright red and the fronts amber correct? The LEDs for that I would need to install into the side marker and to get them blinking all you would need to do it rewire the side markers to your front and rear wire. This should work, the unit I make is so that you can still use the lights with parking lights and use them with the blinkers.

This funny guy PMd me about two months ago saying that he found a new way to mod the tail lights and will be "posting up his services to charge less". I am not going to comment, and be "mature" about it, but I wonder what this guy says the dealers after they tell him his service charge.

Easier than changing out your headlight b.

yes...this.

so you'd need us to get the new LEDs, correct? and send them to you along with our side markers?

sidemarkers blinking WITH the front/mirror/rear turn signals is what i want. amber up front, red in rear.

what kind of wiring do we need to wire up the new sidemarkers with our front/mirror/rear signals? if you can post or PM me how this is done, i'm in.

"...the unit I make is..."

This unit, it will cause the lights to blink off sync with the front and rear turn signals though, correct?

THIS lol,

The unit you make will allow the side markers (both fr and rr, amber and red respectively) to blink in SYNC with the headlight and tail light turn signals, correct, while still being able to retain function of the parking lights?

If what we stated was correct, im in too. i'm over white.

im retaining stock colors lol. this is coming from the guy with 'switchback sidemarkers,' talk about overkill lol, as if interchanging white and yellow lights in the headlight isn't confusing enough already!

I see it as safety. i leave white to the crowd that...... well, likes white lights. that goes for 6000K and 8000K headlights too, pure crap with respect to light output lol.

most german cars come with blinking front sidemarkers.

Ack, thinking of doing these sidemarker mods and the tail light mods we discussed all at once; thinking of driving over there to avoid turn around time and absence of parts when i'm on the road.

Where in NJ are you?

I would need you to send me your rears since I don't have TYPE-S side markers in stock, as the front are the same from 04-08 and I have those as trade ins. The LEDs I would install and the install for you would just be to leave the ground wire and the other cut and transfer to your rear/front turn signal wire and tap into that.

If you want the unit to make your side markers blink, I can make you them as soon as you want.

The switchback sidemarkers were the shit when I first came out with them on my WDP. Different car different look. I still have Amber/red on the AM TL even though i have switchbacks. And as for safety.. is that why you bought those bright ass orange wheels? LMAO.
Every car is different and everyone has different looks/themes for their car (unless they follow the crowd) so to say the "white led" crowd, it just might be their theme. Look above and you'll see how many people already wants ACK's services for white front side markers.
Same as for the 6000K or 8000K bulbs, its a look. if light output was what they wanted, obviously they'll stay around the stock 4300K.

And for the blinking, it wont be in sync as per ack's services unless you disable the parking light feature. so it'll be only on when turning.
Is it possible to have it on and then blink in sync -YES. i know cuz i did it.

Sorry for the thread jack ACk.

These LEDS are alot brighter since there are 6 compared to 2. and also the light dispersion is more even...

Not really. Look at the drop menu, it says add $35 to the $40 price for white. That is for DEPO side markers with lights even less as bright as stock. These are really bright and it would run about the same price shipped and I reuse your OEM pieces, plus they are almost 4 times brighter.

Lets say you want to nightshade your side markers (I will post a picture of DEPOs smoked lightly), the light barley comes out. These, with nightshade on them can be dark and you can also choose any color you want.

Interesting. I would probably want the type-s smoked look for the front so it matches my rear. Do you have type-s markers in stock so I don't have to send you mine? Also, what is the difficulty level when it comes to installing these?
I might have to jump on this group buy.. PM'd shipping inquiry

I am going to say they aren't stock bulbs because the fronts are white and the white DEPOs only started to be offered about 3 months give or take ago. That stage of his car was defiantly over a year ago because he had the BBK on the fronts and I believe they were in the black market about a year ago off of his car.

The rear type-s sidemarkers are OEM. The fronts I have opened an OEM sidemarker and installed a linear led module. I have never had those disgustingly tackly ebay sidemarkers.

But wow, what an old pic.

If I am correct. The type-s side markers are the same brightness as the base ones. Maybe he didn't get a really bright bulb, or its the picture to give an illusion like it matches in brightness. I could be wrong, but I am pretty sure they all have the same bulbs stock.

You can tell the exposure settings on his camera are set on the higher side giving that effect. All OEM markers have same brightness regardless of Type S or Base. Can not comment on Depot ones.

Depot ones are slight less than OEM. They are defiantly weaker because I can see the actually LEDs on them once installed.

yes they probably do have the same bulb but I am just saying my rear base ones are nightshaded thats why the discrepancy between lights output is so much

with the type s oem NON nightshaded I should get alot more output and a closer match to the front ones...eventually down the road I will probably have the red leds from oznium installed inside my type s sidemarkers
