Can you put the CF inlays in a 04? The pic shows in the 07 headlights, if so where can you get them?

Jnc... Is there anyway i could just buy a set of cleared headlights from you ?... I had a wreck and my passenger side light is busted a bit on the inside which takes away the swapping option for me... I would like to have a cleared set and if possible a set of zkw's .... I want a new pair of headlights before i have the front bumper repaired..

Member HEATSEEKER started his ghost type S tails project but ended up messing them up a tad, sent them my way to see if I can salvage the project.

when you paint the fog light cover does that mean the fog light can no longer be used?

Hey JnC, you don't happen to have a pair of Type-S diffusers lying around would you?

I want to swap out my amber diffusers on my 06, but I can't find those clear ones anywhere.

Painting it does not make any difference in performance/output of the fog light, it just gives the fog light opening of the headlight a smoked appearance.

sounds cool but do you have a picture by any chance of those installed and lit? I've looked through your photo albums but I cant seem to find one. In all of the photos it seems they were left clear.

looks great
another question, when you send the headlights after purchasing them from you, do they come with the stock HID's? Its probably a retarded question but I'm new to this. I was wondering that if you remove the headlights if the HID's are attached to them, or if their removable? do I hold on to the HID's and when your headlights arrive I put them back inside?

You re-use your stock HIDS. The lights that sent to you have no HIDS.

okay. does that mean that when you remove your headlights the lens are attached to the headlights, or do you hold on to your own too?

Basically what you get from JNC is the headlight. There is a DIY on AZ (owner's manual) that will tell you how to replace the headlight. You have to take your turn signal light and your HID's and also ballast. All of which is on your current headlights, and all you do is transfer them onto JNC headlight and ship your current headlight back to him. Hope that is clear enough

'08 black Type S

Thanks for all the info you post on here. I own a 2008 black TL Type S …and like all others I hate the orange turn signal on the headlights. Based on the info you posted, I think the best fit for my likes would be a cleared out headlight with the carbon fiber inlays so I'm guessing my price is $150? With such an well designed car, I like to keep what comes stock but of course enhance it some. Do you think the cleared out with the carbon fiber inlays is a good choice? I went on the site you listed for the Phillips bulb replacement and I think they are sold out so I will search for them locally so I guess you could throw in the bulb replacement too. I'm new to the site but you should be able to respond to me. Thanks.

Hey JnC, I got some chrome amber bulbs off of ebay and they were the worst! They are not the ones you recomended, but they were another pair from seller auto-tuneing. They looked like rejected bulbs that the company bought and put a quick chrome coat on them. One bulb didn't work, but the other did. The one that didn't work looked like it had been used before. The chrome coat was a little thick and the light was a pale orange.

So after that I bought these bulbs:

http://www.automotivelightingusa.com...roducts_id=539

And they are awesome! They have a deep orange color and have a sturdy plastic base that clicks once it's in. The chrome coat is thinner so they light up brighter. And both worked when I got them. So this is a great recommendation for all readers of this thread.

On a different note I got bored this weekend and fixed my Dad's headlights on his car. I used the 3M headlight kit. This might be something you could start doing for an extra charge for us Aziner's since you're the "headlight guy". It would take between 1-1.5 hrs to do a set of TL headlights. I even did mine on my TL with just 3000grit and it made a huge difference. Not many TL's have the yellowing yet, but alot do have pitting and minor scratches. I know mine did. Let the pictures do the talking...

I'd never bring a sand paper close to the front lenses, reason being that it might look nice and clean now but over time it will get worse. As one of the above posters mentioned, the sand paper takes off all the protective clear coat and the lenses go yellow/hazy due to the UV rays very quickly.

Best thing to do is to use light abrasive plastic polishes and then apply either clear coat or install 3M clear protective filem.
