I'm not thinking anything too crazy. Just some Audi style DRLs like this.

What do you guys think?

aftermarket headlights can't be stock TL Bi-xenon. Why don't you send it to the guy that does headlights on here?

If you think that's high, wait until you see how much lightwerkz charges for labor. Lets just say when you want everything like LEDs, painting, and. Retrofits, it'll be well over $1200

"Simple" blackhousing would be in the $200-250 range I think...

Chad I know you are skilled enough to do it yourself but for those who aren't, $150 isn't that much money to pay to have someone skilled do it. If you spend a Saturday night out with a gf you'd spend that much anyways.

I only entertain the gf's when the wife is on vacation...

No but seriously. Why pay a company like that when we have vendors here who work all day with TL lights and offer much more affordable rates. All I'm saying.

There will always be idiots that don't search around and are willing to pay outrageous prices to achieve unique looks for their cars. And that's why these companies can charge like this.

Not if they're wired in parallel (which most strips are).

But in my opinion, you might as well get some sesame chicken to go with that rice.

^most strips are actually wired in series of 3 or so, but it varies. parallel is ideal, but usually on a small flexible pcb it wouldnt fit enough separate connections to each individual LED

Sure it would. I build them all the time for an aerospace company at my job actually. It all comes down to cost and profit margin.
