Crumbs in holes of leather seats

My little girl got crumbs in the holes of the leather seats. Vacuuming doesn't get them completely out. How to you guys clean your seats?

use a needle and poke them through.....thats the easiest. or a pick to get them out, like a dentists tool or something.

I've used a light tape....just make sure you get one that is low on 'sticky'; you don't want that stuff staying on your seats. One of the wide ones can get up pretty quickly if you have a lot.

This is a good thread! I have this problem, albeit not a lot. I was wondering if it was just me but figured it wasn't. I'm going to try the tape method, but have a paperclip at the ready in case it leaves residue.

Thanks guys!

Time to put a towel where the kids sit. I understand your pain. The methods above (using a pick) have worked for me in the past.

I have a cocker spaniel that the wife and I will take with us some places and for cases like that we dropped by PetSmart....they have (around $30, I think) a canvas-like cover for dogs in the back seat. It's a one-size-fits-all type of thing, and it fits pretty snugly. There's a back piece and a seat piece - they tuck in individually where the two parts of the seat meet, so there's no pulling out of the whole thing because someone sat on it. I have the ebony interior and we got a dark gray cover, so it actually doesn't look bad, especially compared to a towel. I can take pics if requested...

Hey...my internet's jacked up ...it took about 10 min for the reply window to come up. I don't know what the deal is, but I've already taken the pics. I'm going to try to put them up this evening...hope that's fine.

Thanks for giving me a reason to put it back in...took about 10 min, FYI.

LoL sorry about that. I just wanted to see how it looks with the ebony interior. The cover is a ten minute install though? Is it difficult or tedious to put in?

Here we are...internet's smokin' tonight...don't know why the problems. It's not difficult or tedious at all. You could probably do it just fine in less than 10 min, but it was me by myself, taking my time, making it pretty for you.

It's just a matter of sliding the back cover over the head rests, shoving the flaps between the seat cushions and between the pillar and seat cushions, and connecting the clips. Then for the bottom, shove the flaps between the seat cushions and make sure the front is tight around the bottom of the seat. (I know I made it sound long...it isn't)

The Culprit...Raley sorry for the crooked picture

The back piece

The bottom piece

The best way to keep the dog from screwing up the seats....the Jeep Grand Cherokee w/ V8, 4wd, & nav - it's the wife's ride

Bonus pic...the best & cheapest way to keep your nav screen clean.

toothpick is what I use. You don't need to stick it very far in, just enough to pop the plug out. Using tape on leather seats, (our TL leather in particular) is not something I would do. If the tape is low tack, it may not even get the plug out.

Honestly...I've found that $2.00 tape > $100 shop vac (if you don't have one) + dust it throws out & hassle it is. Just my again, though.

i imagined that but i think that would just blow the crumbs in other places he doesnt want.. reading over it i think tape IS your best solution.
