Couldn't Delay Gratification
Couldn't Delay Gratification
Hello everyone. I'm new here and so is my '06 TL (anthracite/black). I was gonna wait until the '07 model came out, since there are rumors of more hp.... but alas, once again I could not delay gratification. Not a real bummer when you're driving a TL that came with only 2 miles on it ~ heehee.
Anyway, not only do I LOVE my TL, but I love this site. Its a lot of fun and really informative. Of course, I don't understand all the car jargon yet, but I'll get there.
If I see you on the road, I'll send you a big wave.
Riding free,
Mary

Congrats and welcome, Mary. You'll find quite a few Chicago TLers here. I personally don't think the 2007 TL will be much different from the 2006, despite all the rumors flying out there, so you did fine just buying it now.
Welcome, Welcome, from one Chicago TL'er to another, you live in the city, or just another one of those people who claim they live in Chicago, but actually live in the burbs and rarely make it to the city unless absolutely necessary?
I just bought an 05' in December NBP/Quartz and I LOVE it, but be careful when parking, I already have some minor battle wounds that need to be fixed this summer from careless people in a hurry
Anyway, welcome to the club, the car is absolutely fantastic, just make sure to turn off the restaurant icons off on your Navi display, otherwise you can't see the roads with all the restaurants in this city.
Have fun, you made a fantastic choice, and you will be very happy you have a FWD car during the Chicago winters.

That's alright, I actually grew up in Highland Park just north of there, but I live and work in the city now.
Least you'll have a nice car to sit in all of the traffic during the next two years because of all the construction on the Dan Ryan Expressway.
