Console Ashtray - Anyone Using One? If so,....

No, I don't smoke. I do commute every day and need a large location for my tokens. I've been putting them in the forward cupholder, but when I get a drink it's a PITA to use the rearmost cupholder or remove the tokens, so....

I'm looking into the ashtray as a possible, removable solution.

Anyone have one? Does the lid remove? Is it deep or very shallow?

TIA

I have one I use as a waste can (for straw wrappers and such). The lid doesn't come off easy. It's like a spring lid. It's fairly shallow. How about one of the cubby holes forward of the shifter (below the radio)?

Skeed: the cubby's would rattle due to the plastic on all 6 sides. Also, it's very narrow and deep so it would be tough to get my hand in there.

dig_b: it's impossible to use your right hand to get into the armrest and pull out the tokens while driving with your left hand (believe me, I tried).

Oh well.....looks like I've got to go to an auto parts store for a non-Honda solution....

i second the EZ pass.. from the picture, it doesn't really look like the cupholder ashtray would solve your problem of taking up a cupholder...

The one toll closest to my home doesn't accept EZPass if you can believe it. Every day it's up/down with the windows and reaching into some cavity of an Acura to feed the basket.
