I've had my 05 tl for over a year and I can only afford to spend a good amount on rims or a lip kit I just don't no if the lip kit will look good on stock rims (which are nicer than most stock rims)

 

The Aspec lip kit looks good on anything brah. No joke.

Yeah I like the 04-06 better than my 07's also. The 04's painted gunmetal are pure sex IMO

If you are concerned with looks the proper order of modding is:

1. A-Spec
2. Springs/Coils
3. Wheels

 

+1 for A-Spec first.

Also, stock is running lower and lower so pick it up before you can't get your color anymore. (If it's not already out.)

Of course but the question was between a lip kit and wheels. The wheels would look better with a lip kit and the lip kit looks better once lowered. But the wheels and lip kit are around the same price, Springs are cheap!

Orr if you have enough for wheels, I'd say put that towards coilovers

Coilovers > wheels
Coilovers > lip kit

Personally I think lowered with no lip kit and stock wheels will look better than lip kit at stock height or stock height with aftermarket wheels. But that's just me

 

Yesterday I parked next to a TL (04-06) with a-spec wheels, but no a-spec kit. Looked VERY nice imo. First time ever seeing the A-spec wheels up close, with a little curb rash around the edges though. The car was ASM. Made me think of Justin's car.
