I have a 2008 TL with the base A-spec rear lip. I am going to buy a type s exhaust. Can I just buy a type s rear A-Spec lip and then the exhaust will fit?

And is the A-spec the whole bumper or is it just a lip?

Yes buy the type s rear lip but you will have to cut your stock bumper (hidden by the new lip) to make the tips fit.

and it's just the lip.

 

cut the stock bumper to make the type-s tips fit. They won't fit unless you cut the bumper as the base exhaust isn't as wide as the type-s quads.

then slap on the type-s lip. the lip will hide any evidence that you cut the bumper.
