I remember I didn't like the Audi grill when they changed it either.......

It would take some getting used to for a TL.

Thanks for the contributions, all. After a partial night's rest, I'm in agreement with the community that this does not fit well to the TL profile, but it was pretty awesome to see Joneill's renderings. Nice work, man.

But it brings me to another point...

Yes, this is all too true. Look, anyone of us has been to a meet where one or more horrible representations of the TL game come to the show and I'll be damned if I've ever witnessed a single amount of vicissitude towards a single person irrespective of their choices. Maybe I've just had the good fortune of meeting only with well-mannered A'Zine members. Hell, 'Looks like sh*t' is even of acceptable response as it speaks only to the subject matter. What I did not expect was...

Ugh. This.

It's of no shocking revelation that the 3G TL community continues to decline on AZine, and last I checked, short of GuitarPlayer16, innovation is few and far between since the days of Rockyfeller, Mmade22, Rockstar, and the like. While I'm not offended, it's wholly disappointing to see that those of the remaining ilk conduct themselves in this manner. And you really want to dog a new idea?

...last I checked you've contributed what exactly in your time here?

This forum, at any point in time, is maybe 10% users and 90% guests. And THAT is how you choose to represent our community?

You had a classy car at the time; it's a shame the driver did not match the presentation. At least we are both glad for something.

Couldn't agree more. My TL is almost 10yrs and everyday I try to find new ways to fall in love with it all over again. Ya some ideas are outlandish but it's ones like this that spawn you to try something different.

I remember when Sharkbreath painted his car dark purple. Something I would never do but he loved it and that's all the matters. Critizism is always allowed here but there is a way to go about it. Try conversing instead of telling him to jump off a bridge

That actually looks amazing!

OP, would you consider doing something like that? Someone just brought the 3G TL several years ahead!

Any chance you could whip up some PS magic on the original image with that concept?

I am not a fan of the large grill, too much negative space. I think something could be done with the lower part though, or maybe play with the lip and make it more agressive? even getting rid of the bar like the picture below changes the front grill

Just my .02 but hey it's your car, let it be an expression of what you think is cool

I agree, it looks awesome IMO, especially paired with the 4g front lip kit! If I had the money and the time I would have tackled this project, but instead I opted to repaint my bumper and install my stock type-S aspec for now. Maybe in the future.

I really have never been a fan of the "shark mouth" TL mod that many have done So this, with the stock 3g grill and the more aggressive shape of the foglight/turn signal area, i think is just awesome. I saw more pictures of it on the guy's IG including pics of the progress, He basically just cut the front bumper below the headlights and cut a used 4g TL bumper and molded them together. I guess you could use fiberglass or bondo or whatever else you want.

I think the shark mouth can look good if done properly. If you leave the grille completely empty... well it looks completely empty. You have to keep an Acura logo, badge of some sort to fill the void.

Done right:

Not quite there yet:

I do like the shark mouth with the emblem, way better than the NBP one, the black and white one looks so much like a accord Euro R to me, Nice!
