The mod bug is starting to creep back up and I'm conceptualizing a few ideas. While there are a few things I could stand to improve on my TL, one of the three things I'm playing with is replacing my front bumper since it's got a small hairline crack due to a turkey a few years back.
...so my thought was, 'What if I went with a near full-length mesh?', similar to the new Audi's. Here's a rough rendering I threw together, what's your thoughts? I haven't done any fg work in awhile, although I'd like to.
(NOTE: This is mmade22's ride, one of the forefather's of 3G TL innovation.)
Hey, jonelli...great shoops, man! If it's not too much trouble, take a look at the spacing between the headlights and the grille. Could you possible maintain that width down the sides of the grille, thereby reducing the grille slots for the fogs?

Sorry but the TL front end doesn't look aggressive enough to pull off that look like the Audi RS5, Lexus IS/RC can.
Looks ridiculous. I would actually be embarrassed to park my TL next to that hideous looking grill even though it's only a rendering. Makes me cringe just looking at it
im sure someone can blacken out the chrome trim and all the red, along with removing the audi emblem and adding in the honeycomb grill to get the same look you're wanting.
I think that the TL's angular grille / beak is a huge part of what makes the shape itself timeless - Not nearly as overdone as the later 4G (or earlier CL for that matter), its like Honda got it "just right"
I think getting rid of it in this case will kind of give the car a big identity crisis. My opinion anyway
I like the look of it, but it seems as if I'm in the minority here. The guy with the Audi badges went too far with it, it he just kept the Acura emblem and didn't put it on bags with 22's it would have some potential. Probably just because I'm young, and also really like the look of the new audis. Not sure if I would sink the money in to do it myself though.
Man some people forget how to talk to others real quick when they're behind a keyboard..
Everyone is so sensitive nowadays. It looks awful and that's my honest opinion, plain and simple. Would you rather me tell him it looks amazing, so that his feelings are spared? OP asked for thoughts, and they were delivered.

I don't like this type of execution on the other cars it's used on, so I am thankful your TL and the ones that followed look the way they do from the factory. Much more timeless imo.
Before I did that, I'd Frankenstein a 4g and 3g bumper together. It looks so much better and is probably less work... See below from my progress thread:

I think it looks awesome and wanted to do something similar originally. Here is what it looked like. The car has also been plastidipped blue AFAIK. The guy really did some amazing work I think.
