Evan... The previous owner of your car had some music installed like we figured when you first got it and we looked at wire harness next to the factory amp. The black stuff is the paint/spray on sound deadening...

Yea, i kinda figured that since my license plate cover was a pita to take off, dude added that same stuff to that section and literally added sum sort of silicone to hold that plate holder down

hahahaahah looks like one of my ghetto rigs... i did a base bumper to type s aspec lip kit install infront of the crib with a kitchen knife a few hours ago... fucking brick city outside

 

In one of the pictures it looks like you own the only cars in town... Or at least that part of town...

If you take the lining out again remove this weight... It keep the trunk lid from opening beyond a crack... I removed it and increased the spring (second notch) so mine opens like a stock trunk... Of course I have 10 lbs of dynamat...

Point being; this is silly weight that you dont need in your car. Remove it.

those r stock 235/45-17 tires from factory

 

I just learned of this trunk weight and removed it. My trunk definitely opens easier and I can see my trunk lights abit with how much more the trunk opens. After adding my spoiler I could not tell if my trunk was open at night like I could without the spoiler. I will let you know if I notice more rattling from my subs.
