you should really try this...friendly advice

If you live in US or Canada and want really cheap car insurance, go to http://beam.to/low-cost-insurance and click on the second banner from the top. They give free instant quote and it is very cheap. My insurance on my TL was around $500 per 6 months and their quote was $320. It takes 2 minutes to calculate quote. First banner from the top is also insurance company that gives instant quotes but their quotes are higher.

haha....it does, but it also has resonators and other parts that quiet the intake down...many believe these to restrict airflow too much and spend a few hundred bucks in exchange for less than 10hp and a louder intake noise.

Up to you.
Yes it comes with one.
No, it's not just for show. I gained 8 hp.
No, you can't feel it but you will think so.
It is louder.

Do a search on my CAI threads. I've covered a lot of ground...

No, probably a bit less.

Edit: ...if you can resist flooring it all the time to hear the intake!

you say you gained 8hp is that from a dyno run you did? 300 bucks for 8hp is not to bad a price. You can spend more cash for less hp thats for sure

I have a Injen CAI on my car, it's sound pretty nice, but more importantly i think it makes a diffrence on the car. It sounds like what a intake should sound like, when you're driving normaly you can't really hear it, but when you step on the throtle you can hear it, and you can definatly hear in when vtec is in.

I love the injen, btw to those who think you can't feel 8hp at the wheels, It is the equivalent of removing 80 pounds from your car. It is the same feeling you get when a passenger gets out and you are back to driving by yourself.

Sounds reasonable....but most of my passengers weigh just a lil more than 80 lbs

No...

But I have a DV camera I guess I could try and record something with that...

I will take me a couple days to do... (I hope the file size won't be too big)

Are you really interested in hearing it...???

Let me know, and I can try...

Salut

i couldn't resist flooring it in my old accord just to hear the intake whitsle. so i know for damn sure if i changed this one, id do it all the time.

heres a thought, since our cars already have a "cold air intake" i plan on just removing the resonator. i knew where it was on the accord, just gotta find it here.

if anyone has removed it or has found an easy way to remove it, please post it here or send me an email. thanks.

its usually just behind the front bumper for those of you who don't know what im talking about and its just a box that is in between fresh air and the air filter to quiet down the sound.

i miss the "whoosh" sound my intake use to make as i shut it off....

is it just me or does the intake look like a fairly simple thing. just gotta get the pipe and one of those holes is plugged and the other one is just for the air sensor. why get an expensive intake when you can just get a generic pipe with a good filter. we used to make intakes for cars that didnt have ones made for those cars. we made an intake for an old Benz out of pvc piping
