'Click' when I first start to drive

Has anyone heard a "click" when they first start to drive their car (so far I notice it in the morning) Right when I start to move forward (in D) I hear a click sound outside for sure - maybe I am doing 1 MPH (I live on the corner in my development and have a stop sign right in front of my house. ) As soon as I start to roll/move forward I hear it. Just once - sticky brake or something? I will see if it does it after all stops etc.

Anybody?

This is normal for you 5AT'ers.....or so I've read. Someone will come along soon enough to tell you exactly what it is but a lot of people notice this with the AT's.

This one has come up before. I remember someone back in January indicating that it was the ABS self check and it happens when you first put the car into drive. I haven't noticed it on my TL.

Is this a click sound or a THUMP sound? I hear a thump sound around the same conditions.

I would say click.
My dad's old Gran Marqui used to make a wierd groan when you first started moving and I think that was the ABS as well. Hey as long as it 'aint nothin broken, breaking or gonna break -then I say that is why they made volume on the radio. Definately not lookin for problems. Heck, I guess I make a lot of noises too as I move. :toothless

c'mon man. ...Besides they lock as soon as she goes in Reverse. Thats like being asked "did you try to reboot your computer" when there is a problem!

Yes, it's normal. The ABS doing it's self-check thing. That means to worry about it if you don't hear it.
