clearbra or touch up later?

The RL forums is a little slow, so I will post here and we will use this for the TL

Say you just bought your TL and you and you have the option of putting the clearbra on now or in a year (probably less - maybe more) eneded to touchup the paint on the hood and bumper. My understanding is that there are people who are good at touchups and will charge a couple hundred bucks to touchup the entire hood/bumper area. Which would you do? Spend $700 now or $200 in 2 years to touchup and then again in a couple more years.

Don't forget to factor in re-sell. No one wants to buy a car that has been repainted. Even if it is just rock chips... they have no way of knowing for sure that's why.

Clear bra now. After owning one, I will never drive a new car off the showroom floor without one. End of story.

Keep in mind, that you will be looking at the rock chips between touch ups.

With the clear bra, you will have a spotless vehicle all the time.

Good luck in staying rock chip free, Mark.

I have a clearbra as well, I love it, no complaints here. If your gonna drive a nice car you should really invest the extra cash to keep it nice.

$200 for a touch up? That seems entirely too cheap.

The clear bra is the way to go, i got my dealer down to 600 to install it, and they altered the kit for the a-spec. Remind them it adds value to your investment when you exchange it in a few years for the latest model. I will NEVER buy a car w/o the clear bra again.

PPF - the only way to go in protectiong your front end. I'm sure you can find a better price than $750. There are some other threads with $600 quotes. Neogtiate!

True, he offered 600 for the standard package like the xpel. He is charging $750 for the kit which wraps the film around the edges and under the hood (fewer edges seen this way). I had the original way (the 600) on my FX...
