Can anyone answer for me why they had to remove the chrome lines from the front bumper of my TL S, when the dealer installed the a spec lip kit? Can they still fit on the bumper with the kit installed? Thanxxx

 

with the type s kit the front lip already comes with inserts already on it.....they didnt give you the lower grille inserts back????

 

I didnt get any front pieces back from them or put back on the car. I wasnt sure if they came with them or not because when i look at other peoples cars on the forum who have this same kit they dont have the chrome parts on there car either. Thats why i wasnt sure if they are supposed to be on their or not.

 

^you lose the chrome when you install the aspec lip.

 

SharksBreath is right. We've had guys do their own mod to get the center chrome pieces on there, but it's been a long time since I've seen it.

 

Some people with an 04-06 TL or that have had the A-Spec put on their Type-S choose to do a "faux" chrome line on the front lower bumper.

It is a true Chrome Face finish and looks great on the car. If you have fogs, I would contact eBay member andym22 to see if he can mod some to fit yours. He's a great seller and I've purchased these from him twice so far (had an accident and had to replace entire bumper)

They're better than other ones I've seen on there which are just a strip of chrome you stick on. These actually wrap around the piece on the lower bumper and stick on.

 

i wouldnt pay 15 for that. go look for door trim/molding at a local car store. $5 at most.
