Chip To Increase Hp

Hey All,

I was wondering if there is a chip out there that can increase the HP of the 3rd Gen TL.

I want something legit, not a no name brand...Something like the Audi Chip made by Audi, but for the New TL.

Thanks

I am looking for the same thing - the only thing i have found is

www.stchiptuning.com. It states that it could increase HP by 20?

Description sounds real - anyone heard of them??

Thumbs down

I wonder how talented these folks are that designed and produced this chip, since from their ad, they cannot spell. Plus, $30 for 20BHP? Get real!!!!

Actually there isnt a chip that increases hp but theres a chip that allows you to go faster. Its called a red zone chip or something so it lets you push your engine.

its a chip that only bypasses your rev limiter. you risk blowing your engine.... is it worth it?

Thanks everyone, you've been really helpfull.

The general mood of the answers I'm getting is

So I guess I won't play with fire. The car already has way more kick than I need even for an automatic.

Can't wait to get it in a couple of weeks !

Thanks again !

I've talked to those guys over at Hondata, i've had their ecu in my RSX, and I know the made one for the TSX, but they say they have no plans in doing it for the TL.

Velfarreclubber (??????): I have personally talked to Hondata numerous times.

They have ZERO plans for the TL despite the obvious market availability.

I found one

I found a site that listed a few different chips that claimed to increase HP 70 units and I had it saved to my bookmarks, but when my computer crashed I lost it and can't remember where I found it. The listing had legit reviews saying the claim was true and the price was around $170. So there are chips out there, but I will say the ebay listings and such are false, the ones that say increase 20HP for like $25, they are scams and do not believe them.

20hp for $25= $1.25 a HP. "EBay Chip"
70hp for $170=$2.43 a HP. "Chip you found"

It's that much more believable because it costs more? Yea I don't think so...but buy it and let us know...

These cars use wideband O2 sensors to constantly tune the Air/Fuel Ratio (AFR) themselves (even at wide-open-throttle). There is no way you could do better. That is unless you were having the ECU reprogrammed to run a different fuel that required a different AFR, or you wanted it to run leaner/hotter/harder or more-rich/cooler/safer on the same fuel. Neither of which will be worth it to you...

No such chip exists, unless you want to pay for a resistor.

Only works from the 20 yard line to the end zone on a football field

You can get Sprint Booster or Velocity booster on Ebay as im having it on my bimmer right now. Not increase horse power or any torque, just a quick response and prevent lag of torque. You might try that, 500 a piece.
