Looks like if you pop out those caps, remove the 10mm bolts behind them, then pop out the clips on the bottom of the bumper, you might be able to give it a little tug down and reach those bolts? I'm doing this swap later in the week. I'll let you know my findings if you still need it.

It's not as hard as it seems just watch the DIY video here in the garage on removing the rear bumper he removed it by himself. you do have to tug hard.

GO RAVENS!!

It is as easy as bforbrian makes it sound. I've messed with mine so many times with my custom tails that I can swap both tails in about half an hour blindfolded, clean up included.

With the bumper, you just drop one side at a time, no need to remove the whole thing. Unbolt one side, pull it out and let it hang down. Once you swap the light, put it back together and repeat on the other side.

To remove the bumper, pull out on the side of it. Once the side pops out, pull the bumper back (away from the rear of the car). Don't be afraid to put some force into it when you pull back.

You have to take off your back bumper because there are anchors on the bottom of the tail light assembly held in by a bracket with 2 screws.

i got everything in great, thanks for all the advice. the onyl thing was i tugged to hard and now the bumper is off a lil on each side , LMAO guess im a lil strong for the bumper. i wanted to be gentle but instead about ripped it off including the aspec kit as well. no worris tho. i need to buy a new bumper for the quad exhaust from ATLP so the bumper really doesnt matter cause ti is getting replaced within 30-60 days. hey also if anyone knows how do u clear the frony headlights? doesnt someone do that for some money?

Nice, post some pics so we can all see how nice they look! As for the headlights yes JnC does them for a fee or you can DIY. Do a search for headlights and you will come up with about 1m threads on it. I actually just got a set from JnC and are putting them in tomorrow Here is his thread if you do not want to diy
https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-2004-2008-93/custom-headlights-jnc-641022/
do yourself a favor and take 20 mins to read the whole thread. There is a lot of info in there and will help you understand all the different options.

sorry to bump an old thread but I had a question. I received my 07-08 tail lights today and there was only one hole to put the blinker light. Am I suppose to take the bump and wire from the original tail light and put it in the 07 08 tail lights? If so, how would I get that wire out of the original lights?

You have to take the LED board (brake lights) out of your current ones along with the blinker. How else would you get the blinker in your new lights?

If you need help taking the bumper off to get to the lights, check the 3G Garage on the main 3G TL page.

It requires you to drop one side at a time or remove the whole bumper.
