Center console compartment question.

When I open my center console compartment the right side of the leather top slightly rubs against the passenger seat. Does this happen to anyone else?

It happens to me. It's designed to be that way to allow for easier access for the driver. It should not do any damage to the seats.

Yes, it happens to me too. I even tried to move the passenger seat to the right, but that didn't do any good. If I get really ambitous, perhaps I will enlarge the seat holddown bolt holes slightly to allow more lateral movement. It wouldn't take very much to cure the problem.

Personally, I'd be careful doing that. You probably don't want the bolts pulling through during an accident.

Thats a good cautionary note. I would probably enlarge them only about 1/8 inch on the left side with a round file or Dremel tool. That should be enough for clearance for the console lid.
