From what i understand, you just take out the stock lights and put those.
any problems with water? The pics i've seen just leave big holes in the truck lid where the old lights used to go..
^worst description ever..but hopefully you all get what i mean, haha

Yeah I just used the plastic box that the lights came in, cut out two appropriate shapes, and used them to cover the holes. I used hot glue to hold them in place and seal around the edges.
+1
I read that these don't work that well in cold climates. Anyone know anything about that? I don't wanna take my trunk apart, do this, and then 3 days later on -30C, the lights stop working and I have to take my trunk apart again.

These are the ones I bought.

Regarding the water, the stock bulbs are behind two plastic lenses with a weather seal. You can't use them (unless you mod them) with the CCFL bulbs so you have to find a different way to seal up those holes, while letting the light out.
Myron, I'm not sure about the cold weather. It gets cold here, but not THAT cold.

I guess I have to look for them locally. Shipping charges are triple the price of the lights, or they don't ship to Canada. If I find them for cheap I will install them and test them in the cold
^ I bought LEDs to do the license plate. I didn't find out about the CCFL until after I bought them of course. I still have yet to install them but I probably won't be doing it for a month or so. LEDs better hold up during our weather otherwise it's going to be a big pita
I haven't had any problems with cold weather with my CCFL. I live in Northern MN and they've worked with temps as low as -40 (F), even last night it being -10F. (-23C.) didn't have a problem. They do take a few seconds to fully warm up so don't be upset if they're not very bright when they first come on like I was.

Guys, you can buy white CCFL's from almost any computer site.
www.xoxide.com
www.newegg.com
www.svc.com
www.frozencpu.com
www.performance-pcs.com
You get the idea... I used a kit from Xoxide and it turned out great.

I checked out frozenCPU and it costs $10.
On top of that, standard shipping costs 22 dollars to Canada, and it would take more than 2 weeks!
That's $32...
I paid $15 for mine, including shipping. Something like 10 dollars for the product and 5 to ship.
It arrived after a week, too.
If you're in the states, it's $10 for the product, and shipping is free.
Can't be beat by all_city!

They don't, brother...google it or wait on Gp's diy thread.
they are long fluo tubes that you wire up to your stock wiring and use double sided tape to stick on place.
