Carbon fiber trim kit?
Does anyone have this installed on there TL? Was looking on Ebay and there where a couple. One was like $30 and another was $155. Now thats a huge difference. Are they just crap and not worth it and was it easy to install. Some pics would be great. Thx

Those look crap - there's a thread that someone posted a dash kit that they had bought off a website, and posted pictures of it - it looked great. Try to search for it or wait for someone else to chime in.

Suzuka Master
the one from ebay look like crap.

Just buy a 10/20 dollar sheet of cf and DIY creates hours of frustration! haha but the 155 dollar one looks like it covers more pieces than the 30 dollar kit why not buy it and try it out?

Guys...slow down. Personal jabs will not work here.
Dogpound, go to www.NYCdashes.com. Plug in your year and model TL. They've got full carbon fiber interior trim kits. The ones in the Ebay pictures are not even TL's.

Regardless of where you purchase fake cf from and for how much, it'll look cheap. My vote goes to keeping the interior as is and investing that money on other modifications.

Domm, I beg to differ. Obviously, it's a matter of opinion. But I feel as though mine looks anything but cheap.

My intentions are not to offend. Yes, we can have differing opinions and no one is "right". Admittedly, the cf trims that i've seen haven't been on the best looking vehicles (old Hondas ), so thats always left me with a dislike of it.

^^^ I totally understand-and no offence taken. I wish you could see my Type S in person. I'd like to think it would change your mind.
By the way, I was just in SF 2 weeks ago for my honeymoon.

^^^LOL, there are a lot of options there. Just don't go too crazy.

^ This!!! I have the same one. It isn't real CF, but at least it matches the stock fake stuff perfectly. It really dressed up the interior a lot and my co-worker really had to look close to see if it was real. Def worth the $38 IMO.
Then just add a Type S shift knob and you'll be set!!

Guys, I'll warn you about the Acura OEM carbon fiber pieces. They are very dark, so it's incredibly difficult to see the carbon fiber weave-unless you're in direct sunlight.
They're nice pieces, but these kits actually have a lighter finish to them. It makes it easier to see the weave, and you don't have to be in the direct sunlight.

Thanks UD...If you click on My Garage, there are pictures there! I've posted pictures a few times over the years. If you guys would like to see it, just click on the name of my car at the top of my signature.
Actually, they all came with woodgrain or flat black finishes. The carbon fiber pieces are OEM extras.

Ohh thanks for clarifying that!
One thing though, I don't think Garage pictures have been working properly, they load and then as soon as it fully loads the page it goes blank white.

Much better! Thank you! When I get to interior mods I'll definitely be getting this!

Wow, that does look nice. It has that legitimate shine/gloss to it and there aren't to be any exposed trims on the edges.
Was your stay in San Francisco one of the coldest summers you've ever had? We are basically one season behind, so technically it's still spring. We'll be getting nice weather in the fall and winter (like every year).

YES! We saw it was in the mid -60's all week. We brought lightweight jackets and sweaters. But it never got above 67 degrees all week.
Sometimes, it was difficult driving with the top down because the breeze was too cold.
