Nah....I was just kind of laughing that you even put my name on the list....lol. Actually....it saved me a bit of time updating the last one... And what I am pointing out is that there are LOTS of companies that can make carbon fiber parts really really cheap...they discolor badly really fast, ect but look wonderful at time of install...and look terrible within a month or so......thats what I was getting at. We are producing a good quality A1 CF part.....no cheap crap here! I mean...you can make these really cheap if you want to....not into that type of thing and dont want the problems after the fact... The pause in the production has been due to the month of May....its Indy 500 time here this month so things get bogged down to support this function locally. Race is next week though....

OK, as long as I'm in the thread and have it open, I might as well move it.
Ah....I guess I was just reading the title of the section and took it for what it said....cool.....good to know then. I stand corrected...

and from all the threads you moved this weekend...I would guess there were some others that were also a bit confused. Thats good...I like the regular 3G section better as it is widely travelled! Thanks!

Note...why dont we rename the "Parts & Parformance" section "Performance Parts"?

The main reason we haven't renamed the subforum is because we can't come up with a better name yet. "Performance Parts" was considered but it sounds like it would limit it to parts, which is not the intent of the subforum, which is to gather all things related to performance in one place.

I would welcome suggestions on a new name. I talked with robb and he said any change would have to be forum wide, since there are Parts and Performance subforums in other forums.

The winner will get 100,000,000 Reputation Points. (Don't ask; inside joke for those who have been here for a while)

Parts and Performance speaks for itself, although I like the simplicity of 'Performance Parts', not all parts provide performance. 'Performance Go and Parts for Show' comes to mind, but its wordy.

OK Guys....here is a sneak peek of the product. (told ya I was workin on it!!) Still in testing phaze....but coming along nicely. There are some issues with mounting points that have to be worked out still....but I think you get the idea that this is gonna be a real nice piece! I figured I would post it here rather than to email each and every person who has contacted me a seperate email. Here it is...

This is one of the first peices out of the mold....and it gets better as the process is tweaked in. As I stated earlier...dont get a buzz too quick....I still have a bit of work prior to release....but as you can see....it is coming along nicely! Shouldnt be long. I was over by the shop today and snapped a few pics of the part as it progresses so you could see where we were at with the project. You like? What do you think?

There is an issue with the Red color right now...therefore until we are SURE that the red will not fade over time and yellow (thats yellow for the sight impaired)...right now....all that will be released is the black color as shown. (not to mention availability of red material is limited and hard to get...although we have some on hand) The red takes a different grade material that is much clearer and not sure about the longivity of the red and if it will yellow over time. Time will tell though.....but not for a while. And we do not release problems....so until that is proven.....it is not being released. (the red one...the black is all good so far!) Will keep you updated.

IT really looks GREAT!! Nice work!! I just remembered a note in the ThermoBlok spacers install sheet - said there might be a issue with the stock piece. Oh well, you probably took that into you plan. Again it looks GREAT!!!

wow looks really good. But in the second pics the reflection of the light maybe, it looks like the gel coat should be thicker as it seems like you can still see the weave of the cf poping out. keep up the good work.

This would replace the old plastic cover completely.....it is not a layover or cheap lamination over the plastic cover....but this is a whole new part made from all new materials.

Yep...takes about two minutes with smoke break and beer included in that time. We recommend slamming the beer right after the install...before and...well...you never know.... ...could take you a while longer.....lol. No seriously....it comes right off...three 1/4 screw holddowns on front and just pull up on the back and whammo....its off!

Yep....I will get pics on the car this weekend and post em up. I have been busy as we are attending the WingedWarrior.net competition and have been readying ourselves and vehicles for the time challenge. They sent our cars to the graphics guys last week.....wow.....think if you had to drive this around all the time...lol! And this is just the hood.....wait till they get done with the sides......lol. Gonna be weeks of work getting this stuff off the car afterwards....should be harmless though...but its all to raise money for the local childrens hospital. (Riley Children's Hospital) BTW.....Acurazine may get a free ride on the side window unless another sponsor takes the section (still waiting on that moderatorship goal to be fulfulled...lol)...cause there is one on there now (an AZ.com decal). There will be over 10,000 Nissan people there too....from Nissco or something like that....

That looks great! Any word on pricing yet? And what's your policy on returns/refund if not satisfied? Just covering the bases... I'm sure it will look awesome though. Keep us posted.

Also, will the resin be able to withstand the heat from the engine? Especially the underside...
