The other day my I was in the drive through at Starbucks and all of a sudden BOOM the car rumbles for like a sec and then turned off. I put it in the park and turned the ignition but it would t turn over tried for a cool minute and nothing so I got out the car and pushed the car while my wife steered while in neutral into a parking spot. I was sure it was the battery so tapped the starter while my wife turned it and it started fine drive it home parked it and left it till the morning. Took the battery to autozone in the morning so they can charge it and I got it back and it fixed the problem...or so I thought it was fine while I drove around for 1hr but on my way back while I was on the freeway the car started stalling but didn’t turn off and all the electronics turned off; the radio, the dash lights, what was scariest was the dials all stopped working. Thankfully I was close to home so I got off the freeway and like a street away from my house at a red light it started rumbling and then went into a kinda limp mode I was putting my foot all the way down but the car was only going like 5mph all the dash lights were on and as I was at the at the corner to turn on my street it completely died. Got my wife to come give me a jump as soon as I got it on she drove back home but as soon as I got in it to drive it died again so I had her come back and push my car with hers down to the house. Charged it again and it was fine but something kept draining the battery. Checked all my fuses and nothing. I know it’s not the engine so my guesses are maybe the alternator or maybe the wire harness for the battery, or the fuel pump. Either way I was planning on getting rid of the car soon but I’d rather try to fix this to not inconvenience the person I will sell this too. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions

 

Have your alternator checked.
