Car ramp recommendation

Does anyone here have a recommendation for a car ramp? I know I don't need a super heavy duty one for the TL, but I'd imagine a little bit of future-proofing would be nice.

I plan to ramp the car up so that I can do the ATF change without resorting to jacks/stands. This will certainly help with other diy jobs as well.

Thanks in advance!

Get some rolling floor jacks - very easy and adjustable height.

If your TL is lowered any more than 1.5" or so, you won't be able to use the standard-sized ramps they sell at Autozone or Advance Auto. I made custom ramps made of wood for me to roll my TL onto so I can get a floor jack underneath it.

I use Race Ramps for my TL and Vette. Expensive (even on ebay), but worth it to me. (Set for life. Works with any car.) A floor jack and jack stands are still nice though if you do your own tire rotations and brake work.

I also made a set out of wood that I had in the garage, 5 2x6 @ 8' long cut on an angle then bolted together with threaded rods. Great height as I can run the RX7, even with the air dam, up on the ramps then put a jack under the car. Put a couple of blocks at the end so you don't run off. The only drawback is that they are heavy, but certainly won't collapse.

These work really well, and I'm lowered 1.5".

Thanks for all the recommendations/ideas! Car is not lowered and I don't plan on lowering it, but I may still get a low profile one.. Who knows what car I'll get next, right?

+1 They barely fit under the lip while I have aspec suspension. If your any lower you might want to build a set or find a lower profile ramp.

IMO You should Re-Consider a Good Suspension. Car Drives Way Better and handles 100 times better.

Majofo's Car Ramp Recommendation:

Don't let your friends borrow / use your ramps or they'll end up driving over them, burning one with the exhaust pipe and gashing the other with sub frame.

I use to use Rhino ramps but they would scoot across my driveway and on one car I had, the lower valance would hit the ramps. So I built my own out of 2 x 10's. Strong as an ox with an effective stop at the end, they raise my cars and my truck perfectly for my purposes. I even put handles on their sides so I could carry them.
