I have a WDP which I recently tinted and as I was talking to one of my friends, he mentioned that something was off with the tint.

I know that if I had a darker car, the tint could be pitch black and still look good, but what about on a white care? Can really dark tint make it look bad? what do you guys think?

lets leave out any discussion about laws and how it is hard to see out of dark tint at night. Just want to talk about exterior appearance.

I personally think that very dark tint on a white car is ugly. I had a 03 TL-S before my 06 NBP, and I had 20% on it. That was cool, but I saw ones with 5% that looked fugly! It really is to each his own. One man's junk, beauty in the eye, you know all that type stuff!

I wouldnt do it. the really dark black doesnt look good on a wdp imo

Anything below 20% looks too ghetto. I like it to be still somewhat transparent, looks much classier.

Tint only looks good on dark colored cars IMO.

Drk color cars would look good with dark tint. WDP or even SSM look best with 20% and lighter... IMHO

WTF??? That looks nice as hell with those wheels! Blacken/clear those headlights and you are looking damn good! If you had light wheels like the OEM ones on the regular TL then it would be off. BUt that looks good to me! I would roll with it...but ya know I roll strictly NBP!

i think the dark tint looks good on WDP... its those cars with the silver tint that looks nasty... you know the ones, it looks like the driver taped tin foil to the glass.... those are fugly.

Thanks guys I feel a little better, I think Darksom1 is right, the dark rims balances it out.

Funny how everyone didn't like it until after I posted the picture.

Without dark rims I still wouldn't like it. I have a friend and her tint doesn't look good because she has stock rims on her WDP. But if she hooked it up with some nice dark rims (which she won't because it's a lease), then it would balance it out.
