Dadon,

I feel your pain. Would suck if mine wasn't cracked and then it cracked on me. I would wanna vent too.

Mine is real bad but I purchased the car used that way. I got a real good deal on the car and now have to figure out how to get it done.

Mine has so many cracks, it looks like a puzzle. I'd be interested to see pics of yours after the fix and details of what you used. Thanks.

I'm the silicone fix guy...
it holds up pretty well but I figured out now that the dash expands and contracts. Next up...bought a permatex vinyl repair kit. If that doesn't work...I'm doing a dash mat.

I will say though...tweet Acuracare on twitter...they got back to me and the dealership offered me to replace it at 1/2 price right off the bat. I will see if they will own up to more than 1/2 but if they don't, I'll probably just do my fixes to it. GL!

All in all, I will say that the car is great in every other way. Shoot, I had a bad battery...and it STILL didn't leave me stranded. Guess it helps that it was a monster 1000 Cranking Amp Bosch one. Plus, my bluetooth had stopped working and it turned out to be the battery causing the problem.

Wow dude, it's just an Acura..... Get over it. And they didn't deny you the dash replacement because you replaced the windshield, that was just the convenient excuse they got to use because there is no reason for them just hand you a brand new dash board for no real reason.
Very true . I agree with this.

Do weekly maintenance on the dash. Optimum Protectant or 303 will do wonders for your dash. A daily ONR/1:4 Diluted car soap and water would help make sure the dash is clean.

Since day 1 I have done this in DIRECT HEAT in Texas and I still have no problems.

I think you're over-reacting, even though, it is quite some money that could be spent elsewhere. I say talk to Acura corp one more time in the most civil manner possible and ask if they could do some sort of Goodwill discount. I'm sure they will if you get the right person. Just keep calling...

Could save you a $1000 or so.

I got 303, during the heatwave in NYC it cracked, this is a defect it shouldn't happen period. I'll try calling one more time MAYBE lol I hate begging for stuff. But buying the dash from acuraoemparts.com seems good to me $642 with shipping.

Texas heat is like your heat wave everyday. Heat index of 110+ everyday.

Previous owner probably abused it or didn't maintained it.

I still see people using Dawn as there car wash soap.

Acura of Manhattan denied any assistance and so did Acura corp.

FUCK YOU!!! A car like this shouldn't have this problem, Ill NEVER recommend an Acura to no one ever again. I saw the thread with the silicone fix ill have to do that. I like the car but this is fucking ridiculous, cant even sell it at a good price anymore unless i replace it. $2100+tax FUCK YOU AGAIN!

EDIT: The reason they denied was cause I replaced the windshield.
