I need a second key I allready bought the blank key I just dont want to pay the dealer 120 bucks is there anyone in Jersey that can do this? The car is a 07 tl with navi

Not that I want to hi jack this thread but is it possible to get a key ( my sister in-law sold her TL and kept the spare key) and re-program it for my vehicle?...I thought it would be possible but I may be wrong?....thanks...

call a local locksmith and see if they are cheaper than the dealer. You may be able to talk them down $20 or so too...

 

if you have an 07 you have the switchblade. a DEALER can only cut this key since it's a laser cut key, most locksmiths do not have the tools for this, so call ahead and make sure they can cut it before driving there. The immobilizer can be programed by any locksmith for around 50-150 dollars. The remote you can program, the instructions are posted here, a simple search will yield them.
